@Amine78Thank you for your question. Due to German road safety regulations, the spoilers have to be detachable to prevent more serious injuries in case of accidents with pedestrians. While I cannot state the exact reason why they were detached at the time of the picture, they generally can be detached if desired. As stated in the description, the fitting has been done by Leinwather & Blazek who ordered the entire kit from Koenig. Best, Grossaspach
@Retrophit No, the period pictures are to 100% certainty from the 1980s. I'm referring to picture 130 in the gallery. Also check the BMW E12 parking on the left side on that picture. Pic 131 is just another batch of other images taken from the collector who used to photograph his car a lot - no one can blame him for that ;) Here you can also notice that the number plate has been changed in the meantime to a season registration (notice the numbers on the right side of the plate, indicating the months). Also, the location is different... I'll follow your suggestion and reach out to Koenig for more clarity. I want that everyone bids with confidence on this rare example of a R107. Best, Grossaspach
@Retrophit Thank you for commenting on the auction and pointing out your concerns. The paperwork from the 1980s actually documents the entire tuning that was done to the car. Also, as you can see from the documents in the gallery, there are pictures included that were in fact taken with the exact same body kit back in the 1980s. You can even see the old German number plate on the car that also matches with the first owner registration. Hope this helps, Grossaspach
