All bidders and interested parties , after much consideration , I am willing to accept 12k for my Euro 300d . Please contact MB market place if you're interested. Thanks!
Hello, AMEDEO . The car is still available. My bottom line price 13k . Please contact me if you're interested. Henry 626 598-2378. Thanks.
Update: in order to avoid relisting my euro 300d, I am willing to lower my reserve and accept 13k . Please contact MB market if you're interested. Thanks .
Thank you everyone who commented and placed bids. Unfortunately. The auction fell short of my reserve. My asking price based on various factors including rarity and condition of the car . I took greed out of the equation and placed a reserve that I felt fair to both seller and any potential buyers. This is a rare and well preserved 300d that warrants a little bit more than $11,000. Thanks again everyone. I
The car was for sale locally. The previous owner owned it for over 20 years. Before that , the previous owner lived locally. While in the US , the car has spent its entirety in California. I recently drove it on a 120 mile road trip . It handled great doing 80 miles an hour. All of the lights and panel instruments function properly, with the exception of the clock. One of the very last pictures in the gallery is the front driver's seat with with the seat cover pulled back. The front seats are in immaculate condition , as the rest of the interior. I am working out of town, but when I return home on Friday, I will remove the seat covers and provide pictures of the front seats. I will also remove the spare tire and take some pictures of the trunk area . Before I purchased this MB , I thourally inspected it for any rust issues. The only areas are the one's previously noted . The car does not have any foul odors. The car is really beautiful and in great condition. I would advise any potential buyers to hire a mobile vehicle inspector to inspect the car for you . I am confident that whoever sees the car in person or hires an inspector will be quite impressed with its condition. I would even go as far as to reimburse any cost for hiring an inspector.
Thanks cOrbin9 for your input. You appear very knowledgeable and your feedback is appreciated. I'm glad you pointed out the two areas where slight bubbling has begun on the car . It appears that any rust issues are limited to those areas. I have made every attempt to examine the car for any possible over spray , which would indicate a possible respray. The paint on this MB appears to be original. I am open to any suggestions that would clarify if the paint is original to the car . I was thinking of driving it to a local auto body shop , and they could possibly do a paint meter reading on it. There is one dime size spot on the passenger front fender that has had paint applied to it . It's obvious the previous owner didn't find an exact color match. Other than the aforementioned issues, The interior and exterior of this MB are in great original and well preserved condition. As with any car , they're only original once. If this rare beauty doesn't sell , I will look into installing air conditioning , although I have no need for it as it always a pleasant 68 degrees here in Monterey county. Once again , thank you all for your input.
Could be that the air conditioner was removed by the original owner in Belgium. From all the information and documents that were provided to me , it appears that the car has never had air conditioning since it's been here in the US . The invoices indicate that the previous owner was inquiring about installing air conditioning but never followed up with it .
Previous , long time owner, stated that the car never had air conditioning.
