Congrats @Medrma! This is a great buy and a TON of car for the money it went for!
@MDPensfanI know I have it somewhere and I will locate it. It is a MyGenius programmer actually, you do not use a laptop w/ Eurocharged for one reason or another.
@MDPensfan10 mins left and thank you! it's a fantastic car. The upgrades/mods have preserved the OEM feel of a W212 with AMG sport package, no compromises there! No short cuts on the specific parts either. Car is 10 years old but still feels and even smells like a new car.
Just realized I didn't cover it in my notes or the auction listing itself but State of Virginia title is in hand, under my name, for the E550!
Good evening all! I have asked for a short exhaust note video to be uploaded, should be up soon.
@exyboxyabsolutely! I’ll see if I can add a short video of a couple revs
@Lookn007 While it definitely wont hurt performance, I did it solely for a mild increase in exhaust note. It turned out perfect as it's a small uptick in sound but one that is noticeable.
Thank you for taking a look at my W212 E550 Sedan!! I am available to answer any questions you may have, take additional photos, whatever is asked of me to thoroughly and transparently represent this beautiful car. I will do my best to bullet point a few additional things about my ownership which has been roughly 1 year. -Little history on my search and the car: I searched for quite a while, expecting to drive across state lines, to find a clean, lower mileage 2014 E550 sedan. As you know, a taken care of facelift W212 E550 sedan is very hard to come by and the ONLY YEAR of the M278 Twin Turbo V8 in the sedan with the facelift. The ones that do exist are mostly all over 100k miles, many of them neglected or driven by the 4th or 5th owners. Sure, there are more coupes out there, but in my opinion the sedan was a far more handsome look, and the scarcity made it more appealing to me. I got lucky and located this car traded in at a local well-known Toyota dealer. The only information I was given was that the prior owners (and only prior owners) were an elderly couple and traded the E550 in for a brand-new Toyota SUV. -The car didn't "need" anything when I bought her, the first test drive I could tell the car was taken care of, everything worked, car drove smoothly, the interior was in amazing condition, and the carfax corroborated the regular service the car received, as well as all filters being changed at the dealer upon inspection. In my ownership I immediately replaced the OEM wheels that had seen some curbs over the years and tires with a more modern, yet IMO tasteful setup. Since then I have done a handful of upgrades, preventative maintenance just for peace of mind (in gallery), and lastly had the rear bumper cover repainted on my own will. There was a prior repaint on the rear bumper cover and it was not up to my standards which I thought took away from an otherwise extremely clean example of a steel grey metallic W212. The work my shop performed brought back the OEM brilliance and looks amazing. -Why am I selling? I know this will come up so I'll do my best to answer the question. I am 40 years old and have owned 25 cars in my lifetime, little excessive to some I'm sure, to enthusiasts, probably normal! I typically keep cars for 4-12 months. It's a hobby of mine to find cool (relatively affordable) platforms, sort them out to my standards, add upgrades where I see fit, enjoy, then move on to the "next project." In some markets I break even, some I make a little, some I lose money, It's never been a "business" for me, rather a hobby. I am lucky enough to have a supportive wife that puts up with this! Anyway, in the case of this E550, I have gone a bit above and beyond with the "fine tooth comb" and the sorting/upgrades, and I'm really happy with how it is in its current state. I work from home 3-4 days a week so anything I own does not really accrue much mileage. -Common question I get re: the resonator deletes. Yes, the cats are still intact, no there is not drone on the freeway. At idle the car sounds bone stock, there is just a little more V8 burble upon acceleration. I can confidently say sound and acceleration is very similar to a W212 E63 with this car, best way I can put it. -Title is in hand, car has been and will remain garage kept until buyer completes transaction and picks her up. I have completed a Liqui Moly oil change with Ceratec oil additive in the last 1200 miles or so (going off memory) and the recent transmission mount was done several weeks ago. There is nothing at this time needed or even in the "would be nice" category as I see on so many auctions on the other sites. Car is ready to be driven. -Again, any and all service is documented in the gallery on a word document I created, services, upgrades I have receipts for I'll include with the vehicle printed out. OEM Airbox and OEM Engine Cover will be included with the car! Cliffs Notes on large upgraded items: Recently purchased wheels and tire package were $3300 including road force balancing, Eurocharged Suite of TCU and ECU tune was roughly $3600, and BlackBoost Intakes were $1380.
Extremely detailed listing and tastefully modded wagon! This would turn a lot of heads at Cars and Coffee. Slap some Michelin Pilot Sports on this car and it's perfection ;-)
@OdcarloverUnfortunately I am not sure myself either haha. Someone may be able to chime in that knows. Thanks for the quick response none the less!
This is insanely clean and will do well! Any idea if this has the new style M156 headbolts/studs?
