This 1988 Mercedes-Benz 560SEC started out as a Japanese-market example that later made its way to Canada before being imported to the United States in 2018. The car shows 3 owners since new and the current owner acquired it in 2019 having overseen all modifications since acquisition. Finished in Arctic White (147) over a Blue Leather interior, power is provided by a high compression 5.5-liter V8 paired with a four-speed automatic transmission. Equipment and features includes a complete AMG-style widebody conversion, paint-matched O.Z. Aero III wheels, Euro headlamps, Euro-style bumpers, H&R springs, a lip spoiler, Elbe Tri-Y headers, Supersprint exhaust, a custom stereo, and much more. Service has been thoroughly documented under the current owners care and major work has been performed by a Mercedes Master Technician. This widebody C126 now shows 103k kilometers (~64k miles) and is offered with books, service records, an original first aid kit, two keys, and a clean California title in the seller’s name.
The widebody conversion was professionally performed by DTM Auto Body in Southern California and is made from fiberglass cast from AMG body panel molds. The body has been professionally repainted in original Arctic White (147) including lower moldings, valences, and bumpers. Additional features include European front headlights, fog lights, and black-painted trim. The body remains free from any damage and detailed photos of the body are provided in the gallery along with photos taken during the conversion.
O.Z. AMG Aero III wheels are installed and show paint-matched faces with polished lips. The wheels measure 17x8.5 up front and 17x10 in the rear with Continental tires mounted at all four corners. H&R Sport springs and new control arm bushings installed recently.
The car originally came with a Blue Velour interior and now features a custom blue leather interior featuring diamond stitched seats and door cards, blue carpets, a blue dashboard, and white piping along the seats, headrests, and armrests. A custom alcantara headliner has been installed and stock grab handles have been retained. A custom stereo has been added including a subwoofer/amplifier enclosure in the trunk and all new speakers throughout the cabin. The Kenwood head unit features bluetooth audio and phone capabilities.
The original steering wheel frames gauges including a 260-km/h speedometer, a 7k-rpm tachometer with an inset analog clock, and a combination gauge for coolant temperature, fuel level, oil pressure, and fuel economy. The six-digit odometer shows an original 103k kilometers (~64k miles).
The Euro-spec 5.6-liter M117 V8 features Bosch Jetronic fuel injection and was factory-rated for 296 horsepower with 336 lb-ft of torque when new. Elbe Engineering Tri-Y headers and a Supersprint Exhaust have been added and output is estimated to be circa 330hp. Power is sent to the rear wheels through a four-speed automatic transmission. Service has been thoroughly documented under the current owners care and major work has been performed by a Mercedes Master Technician. The following services have been performed under the owners care.
The included Carfax report shows history since 2005 and notes linear mileage updates along with a clean history. This widebody C126 is offered with books, service records, an original first aid kit, two keys, and a clean California title in the seller’s name.

@heathlampee I thought about doing that. The reason I didn’t do it wasn’t because I was trying to save money. It’s because I did it on my other 560sec and I regret it. Once you take out the dash most of the plastic clips break because they’re dry by now. Even when you replace them the dash squeaks. Plus when you wrap it in leather, it becomes very hard to seat the speaker grills and the wood trim. I thought it was only mine, then i asked a few people that did it and they were complaining of the same problems

crack in the dash pad. i would have pulled it out and covered it in blue leather.

@6thinline9 I had listed it on ebay briefly but there were too many tire kickers with no knowledge and appreciation for these cars. So I removed the ebay listing and decided to bring it to a platform where people truly understand and appreciate these cars
@xkuisit was this up for sale recently? Seems like I saw it somewhere in the last year…

@Tom69 agree to disagree. To a lot of us that's a selling point ;)
The interior is not very tasteful and looks as if the vehicle belonged to Pablo Escobar
Very cool build! Love the color combo!
Very nice build! love the white on blue. The quilting pattern is a bit much for me personally. The level of craftsmanship that went in to this build is next level. Gorgeous car! Sounds great in the videos too! GLWS!
@NYCdriver I am very sensitive to things like that. It's not polarizing at all. The interior is very subtle when you're sitting in it.
Nice seeing good upholstery work. The pattern will be slightly polarizing but the work itself is impressive. Nicely done!
Great license plate choice, love it. Cool build, GLWA
@xkuisit Thank you! Looking forward to seeing it.
@JimmySt I will definitely do that tomorrow because it's raining here pretty bad, and I don't take my cars out in the rain. The body is in great shape, there are absolutely no dents, no scratches, no rust.
Major Miami Vice vibes! @seller, would you be able to shoot a walk around showing any details, imperfections, etc?
