Here is a detailed list of the maintenance work performed on the car since it was in my possession. 2 fuel pumps, fuel filter, all fuel hoses, smog filter, fuel accumulator. Oil level sensor, oil pressure switch, sub pan, oil pan gasket, oil plug, oil cap, air filter, sparkplugs, spark plug wires, ignition cap/rotor/coil, vacuum hoses, valve cover gaskets, distributor, all the belts. 4 control arm bushings, H&R lowering springs. A/C compressor, Transmission gear oil, Rear sway bar link
@heathlampeeI thought about doing that. The reason I didn’t do it wasn’t because I was trying to save money. It’s because I did it on my other 560sec and I regret it. Once you take out the dash most of the plastic clips break because they’re dry by now. Even when you replace them the dash squeaks. Plus when you wrap it in leather, it becomes very hard to seat the speaker grills and the wood trim. I thought it was only mine, then i asked a few people that did it and they were complaining of the same problems
@6thinline9I had listed it on ebay briefly but there were too many tire kickers with no knowledge and appreciation for these cars. So I removed the ebay listing and decided to bring it to a platform where people truly understand and appreciate these cars
@NYCdriver I am very sensitive to things like that. It's not polarizing at all. The interior is very subtle when you're sitting in it.
@JimmySt I will definitely do that tomorrow because it's raining here pretty bad, and I don't take my cars out in the rain. The body is in great shape, there are absolutely no dents, no scratches, no rust.
congratulation to @autorossa and I would like to thank everyone for bidding and commenting
The reserve is off, the winner takes the car
This truly is a beautiful car with a lot of money spent on it. It’s extremely hard to find another car in a such a desirable color combination along with all the work done to it. As everyone that has had a classic Mercedes will agree with me, these cars are not cheap to work or easy to get parts for. This one has everything done already. I want to thank everyone for bidding and commenting
@Donkster yes the car is located in Glendale. Send me a private message and we’ll make arrangements for an inspection
@NYCdriver thank you
@DonksterThank you. The restoration was done prior to my ownership. To the best of my knowledge, it was done in 2019. The shop did an excellent job. The paint is in great condition. I was not able to find any flaws in it. All the gaps fit perfectly. No waves. The car is an absolute stunner
Hello everyone. I would like to thank you for looking at this beautiful Mercedes. I would like to add a few things. As mentioned in the description, this car went through a major service in 2021. All the major items were rebuilt or replaced. Engine and transmission were rebuilt and various major parts replaced such as radiator, fuel pump, etc… That was roughly 1,300 miles ago. I like to have my cars in perfect running condition, so when I purchased the car, I decided to address all the parts that were functioning but really old and were going to go bad in the near future. This cost me just over $10,000. I have the invoice on hand. This service included a new clutch, all new shocks, muffler, fuel hoses. Miscellaneous bushings, hoses, hangers, grommets, etc... Also, all the fluids were changed. Currently the car is in perfect running condition. It turns, steers and stops as it should. A/C is blowing cold, engine doesn’t run hot. The car is very smooth at high speeds.
