The 300GE 5.0 is refinished in Polar Silver Magno (9991). A W463 style tire cover comes fitted over the spare wheel attached to the hatch and the headlights are updated to projector style with LED running bulbs. Other exterior features include aftermarket side marker lights on the front fenders, carbon wrapped air intake scoop on the hood with cut inlet gills, Brabus inspired body kit, W463 side mirror with carbon caps, headlight squirters, and carbon wrapped hatch handle. A power operated rear hatch window wiper is affixed. A full repaint was done in tandem with the frame off restoration in the new Mercedes-Benz style satin paint color.
Aftermarket 24” 10 split spoke black painted alloy wheels are mounted on all four corners with matching black with silver crested OEM center caps. Tires mounted are Nitto NT420S measuring 305/35 on all corners. The wheel faces show in good condition. 2017 date codes are seen on the tires when the car was commissioned.
The cabin is upholstered in Bright Blue custom leather across the grid pattern front and rear seats, door cards, dashboard, steering wheel, and speaker covers with black plastic accents. An OEM fully operational W463 infotainment system is mounted on the W463 dashboard that stretches down into the custom center console. Custom Bright Blue Alcantara headliner is shown with Alcantara adorning the A, B, and C pillars and sunroof panel. Blue grab handles are also shown in the gallery. Custom fabricated Alcantara also covers the seat bottom hardware and blends into the black floor mats which have black leather piping. A G55 AMG shifter is installed and is attached to the updated shiftable gate. The seller notes that the sunroof is inoperable and the transmission warning light is illuminated due to a mismatch between the ECU and the engine computer and gauges, though this issue has not affected performance.
The three-spoke custom blue leather wrapped updated steering wheel frames the updated W463 European gauge cluster featuring a 260-kph speedometer, tachometer, and ancillary readouts for fuel and coolant temperatures. The steering wheel is out of a 2018 G-wagon.
The 3.0L M103 inline-six has been swapped out in favor of a fully rebuilt 5.0-liter M113 engine from a 2008 G500 producing 292 horsepower and 336-foot pounds of torque when new with power sent to all four wheels through a 7-speed automatic 722.9 transmission. Photos of the engine bay and underbody are supplied in the gallery showing new suspension components installed during the restoration. The frame and chassis are quoted and shown to be in good shape without rust. Everything was serviced during the frame off restoration in 2016-2017. The firewall was replaced to accommodate the rebuilt engine and steering rack from the 2008 G500. Additionally, the floor pans were replaced to integrate the wiring looms required for the updated electronics of the newer G-Class.
This 300GE 5.0 is now offered by the current seller with two keys, some service records, and a clean California title.
The seller has included the following videos:
Most Mercedes-Benz tend to be left stock or get OEM+ upgrades if we’re talking about the sportier models. That is just the trend with this brand. That trend flies out the window when it comes to G-wagons however! It’s a peculiar thing to see and a fun one at that as people’s creativity and taste is expressed through customization and restoration. The work done on this 300GE 5.0 is impressive and downright staggering. Coach building is no longer a thing with OE's, so it’s put on enthusiasts, restomodders, and restoration shops to bring back what was once popular in the early 20th century. The Bright Blue handbuilt interior is works nicely with the Magno satin paint and all the upgrades inside from the swapped power seats (plus the controls integrated into the door handles), the center console update using parts from a 2018 W463, to stuffing an V8 engine where an in-line six goes with firewall modifications sounds like something Westmont AMG did to certain W124s back in the mid ‘80s. You just have to appreciate the engineering, dedication, and love put into this one.

There is a lot of money invested in the G Wagon. Like I said in a earlier post, very tastefully done. I would love to put it in my stable, heck the wife even likes the blue interior.
Missed the deadline! Very Interested. Reach out to me please.
Thank you to everyone who bid, commented and DM'd about this very special 2 Door G-Wagen! We didn't get the reserve but we will find a good home!

@124guy Appreciate that! Glad you like the wheels I’ve been listing—always exciting to see fellow enthusiasts checking them out! This 300GE really is a great one, and I'm thrilled to vouch for it.
@AMGMB If you can vouch for this build then I feel confident that it's the real deal. I'm constantly drooling over your wheel listings haha

@DCESAL -Thank you! Great questions - everything in the center stack is functional. On the steering wheel the buttons are not functional.
Hi Stunt_Road, it’s very cool mod. Q: are buttons on the newer steering wheel and command center stack functionally operating?

I've had the chance to see this 300GE in person, and it’s an outstanding build with no expense spared. The modifications have been done incredibly well, really adding to the vehicle’s style and capability without sacrificing that classic G-Wagen feel. This is one awesome car, and it’s sure to make the next owner very happy. Best of luck to all the bidders!

I'm 99% sure that isn't a 722.9 transmission....

Do all the differentials still work properly as well as A/C?
Wow, very tastefully (Is that a word?) done. Menacing look. GLWTA!
Thank you for bids! Here to field any questions you may have on this frame off restoration with extreme modifications performed on an open checkbook. The owner saw the Brabus Show car at the Geneva Auto show and took many photos. When he returned to the States he set out on building his own 2 Door version while paying close attention to the details for the Brabus car!
