This 1998 Mercedes-Benz SLK230 Kompressor was sold new in France in 1998 and modified by a Carlsson retailer in-period to create the SLK23K. It shows 2 owners since new and currently shows only 24k km (~15k miles). Finished in Brilliant Silver Metallic (744) over a Red Leather (originally Red Leather 227), power is provided by a supercharged 2.3-liter M111 4-cylinder engine paired to a five-speed automatic transmission. This SLK has been modified by Carlsson with a Carlsson body kit, Carlsson 18” 2/6 Wheels, Carlsson exhaust, a Carlsson decklid spoiler, Carlsson roll hoops, Carlsson door sills, and a Carlsson shift knob and brake handle. In addition, a Carlsson tune, suspension,  intake, pulley, and Alcon brakes compliment the tune. Records are included in the gallery and show the original build invoice. This SLK has received regular servicing with an oil service noted prior to being listed for sale with the selling dealer. This rare SLK is offered with manufacturer's literature, partial service records, and a clean French title. 

Finished in Brilliant Silver Metallic (744) the exterior shows a period-correct Carlsson body kit with integrated fog lamps in the bumper, Carlsson badging, a flat slat grille, and Carlsson quad-tip exhaust. Features include a fully automatic folding hardtop, and remote locking. The side windows and rear window show 35% window tint and the windshield remains clear with factory blue coloring. 

This SLK is fitted with 18” Carlsson 2/6 wheels measuring 18x8.5 up front and 18x10 in the rear. The 2-piece wheels wear Pirelli tires measuring 225/40 and 295/35 respectively. The car is lowered and Alcon brakes with 2-piece rotors are tucked behind the wheels. 

The cabin, originally trimmed in Red Leather (277), has been retrimmed in Monochromatic Red Leather featuring a hand-stitched dashboard, console, door cards, and tonneau cover. The stock seats have been replaced with Recaros in matching Red Leather and the steering wheel replaced with a RAID wheel with incorporated airbag and carbon fiber trim. Carlsson door sills, a shift knob, and brake handle are featured and milled aluminum accents the center console. Carlsson roll hoops are shown behind the seats and red carpet along with red velour floor mats are shown. 

The digital odometer shows an original 24k km (~15k miles) since new. The RAID steering wheel frames VDO instrumentation including a 300km/h speedometer, a 7k-rpm tachometer, and a digital odometer with trip function. Additional gauges include fuel level, coolant temperature, a digital clock, and digital external temperature gauge. 

The supercharged 2.3-liter M111 inline-4 was rated at 190 horsepower and 207 lb-ft of torque when new and reportedly produces 225hp with the Carlsson modifications. An intake, supercharger pulley, tune, and blue engine cover have been added.
