This 2005 Mercedes-Benz E320 CDI was sold new at Carlton Motorcars in Greenville, SC and remained with the original owner through 2019 when their son - the current owner and seller - registered the car in South Carolina. The W211 shows 35k miles on the odometer and is finished in Alabaster White (960) over Gray (138) MB-Tex with power provided by a 3.2-liter OM648 turbodiesel inline-six paired to a five-speed automatic transmission. Features include automatic climate control, a glass sunroof, COMAND with navigation, a power-operated rear window blind, and more. Service performed in the last year includes an oil service, a fuel filter, one glow plug, a brake caliper, and both batteries. This W211 is now offered by the current owner and seller in Simpsonville, South Carolina with manufacturer’s literature, the factory tool roll, a first-aid kit, two keys, a clean Carfax report, and a clean South Carolina title.
The exterior is finished in Alabaster White (960) and features fog lights, side mirrors with integrated turn signals, and a powered glass sunroof. The seller reports original paint as supported by the included Carfax. The headlamps are free from clouding and the original glass remains intact. Detailed photos of the exterior can be seen in the gallery.
16″ twin-spoke alloy wheels have been recently refinished and are fitted with Yokohama tires measuring 225/55 all around showing 2014 date codes. Factory equipment includes an independent suspension, speed-sensitive steering, and four-wheel disc brakes.
The cabin features seats trimmed in Gray (138) MB-Tex upholstery with matching door panels and lower dashboard trim. Burl walnut trim accents the center console, dashboard, and doors with some fading noted. Equipment includes dual-zone automatic climate control, a glass sunroof, auto-dimming mirrors, a heated screen washing system, COMAND infotainment with navigation, a power-operated rear roller blind, a dash-mounted CD changer, an auxiliary port in the glove box, and rear side window blinds.
Factory instrumentation framed by the leather-wrapped multifunction steering consists of a 160-mph speedometer, a 5k-rpm tachometer, analog clock, and auxiliary readings for fuel level and coolant temperature. The digital odometer indicates just over 35k miles, approximately 4k of which have been added by the current owner.
The 3.2-liter OM648 DOHC turbodiesel inline-six features direct injection and produced 201 horsepower and 369 lb-ft of torque when new, and power is sent to the rear wheels through a five-speed automatic transmission. Service performed in the last year includes an oil service, a fuel filter, one glow plug, a brake caliper, and both batteries.
The Carfax report lists no accidents or damage and shows linear mileage updates since new. This W211 is now offered by the current owner and seller in Simpsonville, South Carolina with manufacturer’s literature, the factory tool roll, a first-aid kit, two keys, a clean Carfax report, and a clean South Carolina title.

@OnTheHunt Seller is happy. Wife gets back her garage space. Seems there is a rule somewhere that u can have too many older BMW M cars and air cooled 911s. Out of the doghouse for me. Been a pleasure to correspond with others who appreciate nonmainstream cars. Thank you.
nice car, congrats @WexExpress
Seller must be thrilled considering he was willing to let it go for half this. 🤷🏻♂️

@MSerpe i had Mercedes dealer check recall and they indicated all is good. I can keep until you can pick up. The records are not 100% but i obtained what i could find from dealer and 2 shops that worked on it. I also have receipts on $2k+ I spent on service and detailing car prior to placing it for sale
Hi Does the car come with its maint/repair records? Can you store the car for a week or two while we arrange to get a transporter to come? Was this dealt with?..... Hi, Just a general comment. This car was driven and maintained buy a family that drove diesel Mercedes for 40+ years. I contacted the dealer and 2 shops that maintained the car and acquired what records were available. I spent 2k+ to have it serviced and any issues addressed, detailed, and wheels refinished. I will include receipts for work I had done. This car is nice. Thanks for looking.

@Jonnycomelatley Will be interesting to see where this one ends up based on the black/black 30K mile car that sold here in May, that had more options, service done, new tires, etc.. My daughter has 129K on her CDI and this would be a nice replacement giving her about seven more years at 15K a year.
I've always thought same as Jet Ski, I don't ever recall seeing a 2005-06 CDI (OM648 I-6) with the air suspension. Personally mines an 06 with 299k miles, turn the big three-oh next week :-) I HAVE seen the refreshed 2007-2010 W211 (OM642 V6 motor) with an air suspension, tho. I certainly could be wrong and always interested to learn. Also LastVIN.com is an absolute must for anyone researching any Benz. This one right here, if you're 50 and daily drive to tune of 15k miles per year, this seriously could be the last car you'll ever need to buy. Ever. Take care of her with just the routine maintenance and replacement parts (suspension, motor mounts, yada yada) as they come up, she'll last you another 25 years easy. As a daily.

For everyone out there looking for which options. Use lastvin.com, put the vin in and the options sheet comes up. I don't think airmatic was even an option on the CDI. Mine doesn't have it. My brother has one also (06 with 320k) doesn't either. I'm glad they don't. I hear it's just a potential maintenance issue that is not needed. This is probably the nicest one in the country right now for sale I'd say and we're constantly looking for them. No heated seats sucks but what do ya do.

@ProdigalPetrolHead I just looked at one for sale a couple weeks back, absolutely flat, doing the famous MB Airmatic lowrider impression, and it was definitely a CDI. The pics are hard to see for 100% certain but I did see the button didn't appear to be there but really no directly positive assumptions could be made from any of the gallery pics inside or underneath. I own A E500 4matic with the std Airmatic susp. as well as numerous other MB with it also. I do all of my own work on them also. I was just confirming on these options, as I could mostly tell, but wanted to make 100% sure as I'm a very serious bidder. If one has these options and the leather option/wood wheel and so on, as that its what I'm mostly after especially in this type of mileage and climate. They are more common when optioned like this one. Still a super nice car, but not as optioned as it could have been. So this one unfortunately I'm not as interested tbh.

@rideair there is no headliner sag. this car is probably as nice as you will see, tires are older but no rubber issues i can see. thanks
@benzwishes reserve is met
@Seller I want to make sure I'm seeing the pictures correctly. Appears the headliner is sagging on both sides, is that correct? Also, the tires are "2014", so it will need new tires to be driven any distance after purchase?
Is there a reserve on this?

@Benzfan84 Quite rare to see one of these- if at all with air suspension. FYI there would be a button just below the shifter if it did have airmatic.
$6,000 bid placed by @ProdigalPetrolHead
@Benzfan84 The car does not have heated seats or wheel nor does it have AIRMATIC so it's just on a good reliable coil setup. Regarding the H/K option, I've contacted The MB Market to adjust the listing while it does have COMAND, it doesn't have H/K.
Hi, Just an additional note...This car is a non-smoker car. Thanks.

@Benzfan84 Hi, I will research your questions and respond as soon as possible. Thanks.
$5,250 bid placed by @Lundrill
Hi, I just want to confirm a few things. Does it have heated seats/steering wheel? Also is it on coil springs and not the airmatic suspension? And is the listing wrong about the Harmon Kardon stereo option, as it appears not to have the badge on the door speaker covers like my 2004 E500 does? It should have the sub under the rear deck if it does have it also. Thank you.

Thanks for looking at this E320 CDI. My family drove diesel Mercedes since the 60s. This was the last one purchased in 2005. The white with grey interior is great color combination. This is a nice southern car and hopefully will go to a new owner who will enjoy it for years to come. Let me know if you have any questions. Thanks.
