These are great cars. Pro tip: It has launch control. Simply rev to only 1800 RPM (peak torque) with foot on brake. Release brake suddenly and you will get 2 honest car lengths of scratch and annoy everyone in the neighborhood, and scare everyone standing nearby. For you it's controllable, fun and just a hoot. Gramma ready to run over a reindeer... the 4matic cars can't do this.
Thank you so much to everyone else who bid: this was my first auction ever and quite an eye opener 🤣 Cheers, Alabaster

@Alabaster Now that IS an HONEST!! explanation lol Thank you
FWIW I am extremely sensitive to smells: I don't allow fabric softeners or scented detergent in the laundry, nor candles nor air fresheners in the house or any of my cars. Believe it or not I am so weird about smells that I actively avoid walking down the detergent aisle at the supermarket and order unscented Biokleen detergent in bulk from Amazon. The only thing I've ever used to clean the interior surfaces is 3M glass cleaner and a microfiber towel. The interior has never seen armor all or any other similar product. She smells like a middle aged Mercedes and nothing else. They are all I drive, other than a Chevy Caprice PPV which I bought because I always wanted to own something with an LS Engine.
Yes, it has been smoked in exactly one time: my brother was smoking a joint in the back seat of the car, the windows were open halfway and I was driving. A burning ember fell out, landed on the middle seat cushion and he wasn't quick enough in grabbing it. I am certain that was the only time the car has been smoked in. I was furious and it never happened again. I don't smoke weed and didn't think such things could happen but apparently if you don't roll the joint tight enough sometimes a burning ember can fall out. It had been an extremely stressful trip to see our dad and I understood that he needed a break. That is the only burn mark in the entire car and it absolutely does not smell like smoke at all, nor are there any other indications that it has ever been smoked in; there is no residue on the windows, in any of the ash trays, no burn marks in the carpet anywhere and absolutely no other sign other than that mark on the seat.
@Alabaster Hello, has the car been smoked in? Curious based on possible burn hole in one of the photos of rear seat, please explain thank you.

@Alabaster LOL--I missed those with me OLD (sleepless eyes)-thanks
Lol from the last 8 pics in the listing 6 are of the injectors = no black death. On October 1st 2022 I paid $297 for a Pre Purchase Inspection at Mercedes Benz of Draper and the only things they found wrong were a few hairline cracks in the wood trim and the worn shifter boot. This is a clean, original, unmolested, dealership maintained car which I no longer have garage space for. Good luck!
@Alabaster Any signs of BLACK DEATH? You would need to remove plastic motor cover and take picts of all 6 injectors.

Upon checking my records I found that we averaged just under 35mpg from Boise to SLC. Also found pics of the extremely minor damage to the front bumper which I'll upload now.
The computer shows 31.8 mpg over the last thousand miles and that's all been around town. On the highway from SLC to Boise we averaged 38mpg but I was doing 90+ most of the way. It's amazing how infrequently you need to fill the tank on these
@Alabaster what kinda MPG were you getting locally and Highway?

The only time I had a check engine light was in May 2019 when two of the glow plugs went bad. All were replaced, no problems since. All work during my ownership was done at Mercedes Benz of Draper and all reciepts will come with the car. I've never heard of any EGR issues with these, I had a PPI done in October and nothing mechanical, electrical or otherwise came up. Before I had them replaced the batteries sometimes would get low, but since I had the new Mercedes batteries put in no alerts. This car has been driven from garage to garage. I didn't have a good vacuum to make the interior perfect but the carpets and such are clean

@Alabaster ANY check engine lites during your ownership? ANY limp modes? Do you know if the EGR was ever replaced? I believe the early 2005 version EGRs had many issues. Do Battery Messages come on ever? I owned 05 CDI couple years ago... Batteries/electronic /computer issues -to often... Fun driver for sure
This car is ready to drive anywhere, a trip back to New Mexico would be fun! If anyone has any questions I'll be checking in here daily.
Man I’ve been looking for one of these forever. Excited for this. Im in NM and owe my sister in SLC a visit anyway, hmmm!

No check engine lights except for when 2 glow plugs went bad in May. Low battery alert always cleared after charging. FYI this car has never seen snow or salty roads, I have a GLK350 for Winter
Carfax is clean, IDK why it's not been posted yet. Starter battery was replaced April 2021, 2nd battery replaced January 2022. Also, glow plugs were done May 2019. Reserve is LOW
Carfax? ANY Check engine lites on this vehicle since during ownership? When were the Batteries BOTH replaced last? Any reserve?
