This 1966 Mercedes-Benz 250SE 4-Speed Coupe was originally a French Market example per the included data card. It’s finished in Arabian Grey (DB124) over a Red Leather interior and was purchased by the seller in 2023. Power is provided by a 2.5L M129 Inline-Six mated to a 4-speed manual transmission. Features include R134-converted air conditioning, manual windows, an original Becker Europa head unit, and venting quarter windows. This example has undergone thorough servicing including an engine and transmission rebuild in 2021, new springs, new steering bushings, a new compensating spring, a new radiator, a new fuel pump, and regular fluid flushes. Various spare parts being sold with the car include European headlamps, the original white steering wheel, various hoses, filters, and replaced parts. This 250SE 4-Speed Coupe currently shows 73k (TMU) miles on the odometer and is offered with partial receipts, manufacturer’s literature, an original tool kit, an original spare tire, and a clean South Carolina title.
The exterior was originally finished in Arabian Grey (DB124) and received a repaint in the factory color under prior ownership. The roof is finished in white and the entire body has received a ceramic coating. The body shows no signs of corrosion and detailed photos of the paint, brightwork, and glass are included in the gallery below. The windshield was reportedly replaced under prior ownership and presents without cracks or pitting.
The original 14" wheels in matching Arabian Grey paint are retained with this example including original beauty rings and paint-matched hubcaps. The hubcaps show light blemishes around the edges from age but present well. Milestar whitewall tires measuring 215/70 on all four corners are shown with 2022 date codes. The suspension has been overhauled and new parts include springs, spring pads, and a new compensator spring.
The cabin is refinished in Red Leather including the seats, dashboard, door cards, and carpet trim. Matching red carpets have been installed in the front and rear with custom red and white Coco mats accenting the interior. The wood trim was refinished by Madera Concepts in 2019 and shows well with little wear shown. Features inside the cabin include R134-converted A/C, a Becker Europa head unit, a dashboard-mounted clock, and locking glove box. The radio is noted to be inoperable but the A/C and all other power functions in the cabin operate as intended.
The ivory steering wheel frames the original gauge cluster featuring two analog gauges for speed in miles per hour and a tachometer. Centered in between is a vertical analog display with readouts for fuel level, engine temperature, and oil pressure. The analog odometer reads 73k (TMU) miles.
The fuel-injected 2.5L M129 inline-six was rated at 150 horsepower when new and is coupled with a 4-speed manual transmission. All components are reportedly working as they should and a rebuild is noted for the engine and transmission in 2021 or approximately 1,300 miles ago. New parts and services include new springs, new steering bushings, a new compensating spring, a new radiator, a new fuel pump, and regular fluid flushes. Photos of the underside and engine bay can be seen in the gallery.

The seller has included the following videos:
The 111-chassis coupe is a true icon of the 1960’s motoring scene and this Palm Springs style photo shoot emanates cool like Steve McQueen. These cars continue to regarded as automotive art and a prominent placeholder in Mercedes-Benz history as one of the most strikingly beautiful coupes ever produced. This specific example immediately catches our attention for the color combination and documented service but dig deeper and the attention to detail is unparalled in most comparable coupes. Big three-pedal, pillarless coupes like this are all but extinct anymore and examples like this are destined to be special for decades to come. Those interested shouldn’t miss the opportunity to own this distinguished tourer as values are expected to only trend up.

@autorossa enjoy man! Looks like one to enjoy. If you change your mind let me know.
Really excited about this outcome. Had another 250SE 4-speed coupe many years ago, and have missed it. @CarerraSTD - hope you get the next one that comes along.

This truly is a beautiful car with a lot of money spent on it. It’s extremely hard to find another car in a such a desirable color combination along with all the work done to it. As everyone that has had a classic Mercedes will agree with me, these cars are not cheap to work or easy to get parts for. This one has everything done already. I want to thank everyone for bidding and commenting
It took 361 days but this is the best looking 111 I've seen all year. GLWTA and CONGRATS to whomever wins this.

@Donkster Thank you. The restoration was done prior to my ownership. To the best of my knowledge, it was done in 2019. The shop did an excellent job. The paint is in great condition. I was not able to find any flaws in it. All the gaps fit perfectly. No waves. The car is an absolute stunner
Hello everyone. I would like to thank you for looking at this beautiful Mercedes. I would like to add a few things. As mentioned in the description, this car went through a major service in 2021. All the major items were rebuilt or replaced. Engine and transmission were rebuilt and various major parts replaced such as radiator, fuel pump, etc… That was roughly 1,300 miles ago. I like to have my cars in perfect running condition, so when I purchased the car, I decided to address all the parts that were functioning but really old and were going to go bad in the near future. This cost me just over $10,000. I have the invoice on hand. This service included a new clutch, all new shocks, muffler, fuel hoses. Miscellaneous bushings, hoses, hangers, grommets, etc... Also, all the fluids were changed. Currently the car is in perfect running condition. It turns, steers and stops as it should. A/C is blowing cold, engine doesn’t run hot. The car is very smooth at high speeds.

Beautiful. Can you give us some information on where and by whom the restoration was done? Thank you
