The top is finished in Magma Red (586) and features a panoramic glass roof and glass windows with painted steel bodywork along the frame. The original Siglia glass markings from the factory are present on the windows and visible in the gallery below. The seller notes the hardtop has original paint with paint meter readings shown in the gallery. A light paint correction was performed and coated in GTECHNIQ Crystal Serum ceramic coating in preparation for the sale. The seller has added photos of the car with the top installed.
The interior of the top features a retractable sunshade and grab handles on both the driver and passenger sides. The left part of the sunshade needs some assistance tucking in during the last five inches. Photos of the sunshade in both positions are provided in the gallery. The seller notes the interior vinyl is all original and undamaged.
The non-glass interior surfaces are trimmed in Java (234) vinyl and photos showing the condition of the interior surfaces are provided in the gallery. The top has been tested and all latch points operate correctly when mated with an R129 chassis vehicle. Rubber and felt trim points appear in good condition with no major deterioration or obvious wear. All of the glass retains its original blue factory tint.

Magma Red is a rare color on a R129 SL500. To find a Panorama Roof painted in 586 is going to be like winning the lottery for the bidder who is going to take this home. The Panorama Roof option was not ticked often when these cars were new. Included in this sale is a photo of the car’s original window sticker showing it cost $3,700 in 1999 ($7,200 today) as an option. With original paint, original glass, a paint correction, ceramic coating, and a Java vinyl interior that isn’t dirty or beat up makes this a part that is worth bidding on for any and all Magma R129 owners. There’s also the added benefit of this Panorama Roof adding literal thousands of dollars of value to your SL. Think of this as a savings account with interest…

@DLB79 Congrats! I'll reach out here in a second. I think you did really well on that win.
I genuinely don't know when another one of these in this color will pop up again. Black and silver? Sure. Magma? Who the heck knows.

Going through some comments on older pano top listings and it looks like approximate shipping via crate is like $1200-$1400.
Shipping is the issue on these because crate has to be build unfortunately Is there any way to check how much it costs for 33624؟
For those wondering about the weight, I'd say it's 100 pounds. Measurements are 70x66x24 inches. Thanks for PM me about questions everyone. I just wanted to post this for reference.

I have been having trouble obtaining shipping costs to California. DHL will not ship domestically, U Ship will. could you provide the approximate weight, width, length, and height. Thanks in advance
@Benicia The owner actually just sold the car to a local enthusiast and they didn't want to pay the extra premium that is attached to the pano top -- they just wanted the car. Hence now it is on The MB Market! We actually sold a glass pano top to a user in the Middle East through DHL. It made it there fine. Obviously there's always risk of course, but we're good at wrapping these things so they are safe. Sorry to the late reply -- I didn't see an email about your comment or it got buried. Hope that helps!

I do have a question, why sell the top and keep the car? I also have a consideration about shipping. I am in California and wonder about shipping something that is mostly glass on a long trip? Not to mention the cost.
Welcome to the auction of one of my best friend's MAGMA RED pano top! This is as clean as they come in a stupid rare color. This car came out of the Tampa area of Florida where it spent all of its life either cruising around or sitting in the garage. Original paint, no dings or scratches, and I put some ceramic on it for the buyer. This is a NO RESERVE AUCTION! Someone is taking it home! I was pretty thorough with the pictures and included a picture of the car's original window sticker in case anyone wanted to double check the paint and interior codes so there's no questioning if it'll match. The MB Market did a good job with the copy, so please skim through that too. Happy bidding and good luck! I'll be around to answer any questions. As usual, I'm available for phone calls and showings if need be. P.S - I added some pictures of the top on his car for reference. Those are his pictures, not mine. He's a weapon with a camera.
