The W124 Mercedes is undeniably one of the most reliable and well-built Sacco-era cars to roll off the assembly line. The sharp lines and analog feel made this an enthusiast favorite since day one and moreover, these cars were built strong enough to withstand decades of abuse and stand the test of time to outlast any new car rolling off assembly lines today. This pre-facelift W124 comes with the early style front end and grille which is more reminiscent of the W126 design language and features the iconic Sacco-era lower body cladding. Powered by a reliable M103 six cylinder, this 300E is sure to provide many trouble-free miles for years to come. While many W124’s have seen years of abuse, this example, finished in a classic Smoke Silver Metallic, shows just 37k original miles. Now offered for sale by the current owner with no reserve, this 300E is guaranteed to find a new home with a lucky Mercedes enthusiast.

@MBZ1992300E Two-thousand miles and 13 states later, living my 300 E! I had to get a few maintenance items out of the way, but it’s now my daily driver!
@thembmarket how do I sign up for shipping? I received the winning email, however no mention of shipping.

Does the a./c operate as intended? Do you know if it’s been converted, or is it in the records? Any big jobs in those records?

Yes I’m around next week. Hopefully they give a little notice so I can make arrangements to make sure I’m available.
@MBZ1992300E thanks for the info. Wire works for me, as long as you send the wire info. If I win, are you flexible for the next week? I’ve bought and shipped 4 before and I know the drivers can show up at the most inopportune times.
Ok so odometer definitely works. The speedo needle seemed a little “slow” to get off the mark but I’m not sure if that’s my imagination or just not accelerating hard. I measured the route that I run at night with the odometer by driving it and it was pretty much spot on. So fair to say it works. As for assisting with shipping and how to receive payment, to be totally honest with you guys, I have never done this (sold a car online like this). I assume certified check or wire. As for shipping, I can help with logistics. Just tell me what you need done.
@MBZ1992300E What type of payments do you accept? Also, are you willing to assist in shipping from buyer’s carrier?
Starts on first start unless it’s been sitting and not running for a few weeks. It might take a couple extra seconds of cranking to start. As for the speedmeter, I’m not exactly sure what you mean. I started filming on a side street that had little traffic and that was from a stop sign. I didn’t film leaving my driveway and I’m not sure what you mean “intermittently.” I’ll go out later today and take it for another drive and see what’s up. And yes, the gear selection works the same, forward, reverse and shifts smoothly.
@MBZ1992300E Does the speedometer always work intermittently? On the driving video, it didn’t come alive until after you pulled out of the lot. Also, I see the trip meter moving but hard to tell if the odometer is turning. Please confirm..

@MBZ1992300E Does the car start on the very first start? Is there a delay in starting? When put into reverse, is there a delay, or does it engage just as quick as engaging in drive?
Additional photos and a driving video have been added to the listing.
@TheMBMarket we have not seen the additional pictures or videos uploaded by the seller.

Ok guys I’ve uploaded the requested driving video, closeups of the paint , under carriage and a picture of the instrument cluster all light up. I can’t upload these directly but MBMarket has the data and should upload soon.
Owned two of these in the past. Love how they drive, even thought performance is very modest compare to todays standards. As a collector that is less important to me. So I am in the game, for now…..

Ok guys I’m getting everybody some more pictures and submitting them to be added. (I don’t think I can do it myself and must be done through MB Market). I’ll do my best with under carriage but I don’t have a lift. Instrument cluster has not need updated and is to my knowledge original. Other than an oil change, and a fresh battery, no recent service, but I’ll take better pictures of the records that I have and post.
Can you provide more details on recent service work performed? As well as upload a driving video?

Picture 52 on the instrument cluster….has it been replaced? I do not see the “check engine” wording.
Seller, please post undercarriage pictures of this NY car….Are there any up close pictures of the fading clear coat?
