This 1994 Mercedes-Benz S500 was sold new in New Jersey where it remained with its first owner until 2023. The car now resides in Oregon and has only 23k miles on the odometer. Finished in Polar White (149) over Blue Leather (262), power is provided by a 5.0-liter M119 V8 paired with a four-speed automatic transmission driving the rear wheels. Equipment includes a power tilt/slide sunroof, front and rear heated seats, electrically adjustable rear seats, an integrated car phone, self-leveling suspension, closing assist doors and trunk, reverse parking guides, ASR slip control, and 18” AMG monoblock wheels. The most recent maintenance performed in March 2025 included a new driver side headrest motor, repair of the soft close function, sunroof lubrication, and a new battery. All new brake pads and rotors were fitted in April along with the driver side rear window regulator. This S500 is now offered by the seller in Oregon with the original window sticker, a spare set of 16" OEM wheels and tires, partial service records, manufacturer’s literature, a clean Carfax report, and a clean Oregon title.
The exterior is finished in Polar White (149) with a lightly contrasting lower cladding and bumpers. Exterior equipment includes a power tilt/slide sunroof, power adjustable and heated door mirrors, a heated windshield washer system, OEM yellow fog lamps, headlamp wiper/washers, remote central locking and soft-close doors. Rear parking guides extend from both rear corners of the trunk when the reverse gear is selected to aid in parking. The seller notes some touch up spots on the rear bumper and an imperfection on the bottom corner of the driver side door with detailed photos of both in the gallery. The paint is believed to be original with no prior accident or damage history.
The car rides on 18” AMG Monoblock wheels which come wrapped in a set of Toyo Extense HP tires which were mounted in March 2023. The wheels show no signs of curb rash or damage and retain proper machined lips. The factory 8-hole alloy wheels with new tires are also included in the sale. The car features a self-leveling rear axle. All new brake pads and rotors were fitted in April 2024.
The seats are trimmed in Blue Leather (262) which is also found on the door panels and dashboard. Burl Walnut wood trim accents the center console, dashboard and door panels. Both front and rear seats are heated and electrically adjustable. The front seats have multicontour seat backs and the seller notes the air bladders for the lumbar supports are currently inoperable. Interior amenities include dual-zone automatic climate control, cruise control, premium audio, an integrated car phone, and a power tilt/telescope steering column. A new driver side rear window regulator was installed in April 2024. A Kenwood bluetooth headunit has been fitted for convenience and the original headunit is also included in the sale.
The leather wrapped steering wheel frames a 160-mph speedometer which sits alongside a 7k-rpm tachometer as well as an analog clock and gauges for fuel level, economy, oil pressure and coolant temperature. Digital instrumentation includes an outside temperature sensor along with an analog odometer which currently shows just 23k miles.
This W140 is powered by a 5.0-liter M119 V8 engine which is factory rated at 315 horsepower and 345 lb-ft of torque. Power is sent to the rear wheels through a four-speed automatic transmission. The most recent maintenance performed in March 2025 included a new driver side headrest motor, repair of the soft close function, and a sunroof lubrication. An inspection in 2024 shows the power steering pump and AC compressor have small leaks which have not had any impact on drivability over the last year. New brake pads and rotors were fitted in April 2024 along with new fuel lines installed in March 2023. The seller will include all service records since 2023.
The Carfax report shows linear mileage updates from new along with regular service visits, and no accident or damage reports. The original window sticker is included with the vehicle and shows an original MSRP of $95,775. This S500 is now offered with the original window sticker, a spare set of 16" OEM wheels and tires, manufacturer’s literature, a clean Carfax report, and a clean Oregon title.
A video showing the soft close trunk assist and rear reverse guides has been provided by the seller below.

Hello everyone. We have about 1 day left in the auction. I have been driving this car for almost two years and have put about 1000 miles on it. Car is in amazing shape, interior is flawless (wool carpets amazing, no cracks in dash, burl wood perfect, leather supple), the ride is smooth, engine powerful, and all the little motors for the seats/rearview mirror/steering wheel/side mirrors/rear seat headrest fold-down are functioning great. Soft close doors are all functioning; as are all windows, the sunroof, and as retractable parts of the trunk lid. Paint is near flawless, AC blows ice cold and all climate controls work as intended (temperatures/hot/cold/defrost). Drive it and love it. Enjoy.

@burden I only have my history with the car the last two years and my Mercedes specialist has not recommended that. They noticed very minor leaks and said to keep an eye on it. Nothing needed to be done yet. We have spent a lot of time and resources making this car as perfect and original as possible.
Will we get to see larger photos of the service receipts? They are too small to read in the current photos.
Went to fix a spelling mistake and pressed wrong button . My bad, sorry.
Thank you for taking photos of the bottom. Looks like rear end is “sweating” oil.. Thats normal on older vehicles, but looking at the photos . Both engine oil -, and transmission pan gaskets going to needing replacement. Including valve cover gaskets. Hopefully main engine oil seal between the engine block and transmission is ok. Are there records indicating they’re serviced?

Underbody photos have been added to the gallery.
@GregF the original cassette deck works great. I actually listened to a cassette in it. I am not going to reinstall that deck. New buyer can do that if they want. I don’t have the skills for it.
@0815andy they replaced a fuel line at the tank.

Would it be possible to get the following pictures: 1. the underside of the car. 2.photos of the receipts large enough that they can be read on the computer. Also @seller would you be agreeable to put the stock radio head unit back into the dash for the winning bidder if they wanted? I'm assuming its functioning properly, can you confirm?
Do you know which fuel line was replaced and was it for a leak or just preventive maintenance? Also are there any pictures from the underside available? It sounds like a clunk when rolling off the apron, do the ball joints etc have any play?

@morgej My Mercedes specialist has not recommended that replacement. They say they have not seen that problem in the v8s as much as time the v6s. I am at a point in my life where if something needs to be fixed I just do it. Not necessary here. You have a 32 year old car here in almost pristine shape. Nearly impossible to find in this shape

Has there been any work done on this car to resolve the biodegrable wiring harness problem on the early W140's?
