This 1995 Mercedes-Benz S500 Coupe was sold new in New Jersey and resided primarily in New York until relocating to California in 2024 upon the seller's acquisition. The car received extensive work over the last 1.5 years including the addition of a full authentic AMG body kit, AMG exhaust, geniune 2-piece AMG wheels converted to 19" 3-piece, full sound system, wood steering wheel, AMG gauge cluster, and adjustable Hiro performance coilvers. Additional service in 2025 included an updated wiring harness, electronic throttle body, spark plugs, power steering pump, and oil service. Additional equipment includes a sunroof, fog lights, heated power-adjustable front seats, a trunk-mounted CD changer, cruise control, and dual-zone automatic climate control. Now showing over 56k miles, this C140 is now offered by the seller with manufacturer’s literature, partial service records, a clean Carfax report, and a clean Montana title.
The body is finished in Black (040) and the front grille and full body AMG kit were painted to match upon install in early 2025. The AMG body kit is authentic with stamps and includes a full front bumper with integrated fog lights, rear bumper, and extended side skirts. Features include headlight wipers, a power sunroof, retracting rear parking poles, and a retractable power antenna. The seller notes minor scrapes on the far underside of the front bumper. The paint was professionally detailed and corrected with photos provided in the gallery. The rear is finished with dual chrome AMG exhaust tips.
Genuine 2-piece 18" AMG Aero II wheels by BBS have been converted to 19" 3-piece versions with new lips and barrels. Michelin Pilot Sport tires were fitted last year and measure 235/35 front and 285/30 rear. The factory rear SLS has been deleted and Hiro performance coilovers were fitted last year which offer damping and height adjustability.
The interior features power-adjustable and heated front seats upholstered in Black leather (261A) with matching door panels, carpets, and floor mats. Burl wood trim accents the dashboard, center console, and doors. Amenities include memory settings, dual-zone automatic climate control, front seat belt extenders, folding rear headrests, and a folding rear armrest. The seat belt extenders were replaced at the dealer in 2020. A full custom sound system was installed in 2025 totaling over $12k and includes a custom trunk setup with an illuminated AMG logo in the trunk floor.
A factory wood-trimmed steering wheel features an AMG airbag at the center. An AMG gauge cluster was installed featuring a 160-mph speedometer, a 7k-rpm tachometer, and an analog clock, as well as gauges for fuel level, instant fuel economy, coolant temperature, and oil pressure. The six-digit digital odometer shows just over 56k original miles, approximately 2k of which were added by the seller.
The Carfax report shows no accidents or other damage, and shows linear mileage updates since new. A total of 31 service history records are shown.
The seller has provided a walk around, start up, and driving video below.

Beautiful tribute...unfortunately, in almost all of these cases, owners will never recuperate the amount of $$, blood, sweat and tears he/she has invested into the car.Nice$55,500 bid placed by @MartinMartin

@Mbzchad Thank you for the question. The imperfection previously noted on the left rear quarter panel was addressed with a professional paint correction. The front and rear bumper covers have been replaced with authentic AMG bumpers that were installed on the car after the purchase from Bring a Trailer. As for the center console wood trim, it is original and has not been replaced—the crack mentioned is still present.@Louie1072 after reviewing the Bring A Trailer sale and seeing the ad reads “Imperfections on the left rear quarter panel as well as on the front and rear bumper covers are noted.” It also reads “ There is a crack in center console wood trim.” has the wood been replaced or is the crack present? You mentioned original paint so what are the imperfections on the left rear quarter panel please?@Mbzchad Thank you for the question. Both soft-close door mechanisms are working properly and the doors close as they should. As for the rear parking antennas, to be honest, I’ve never really paid attention to them, so I’m not sure about their condition.@Louie1072 Thank you very much. Are both door pneumatic door closing mechanisms working for both soft close doors? Do the rear parking antennas work?@Mbzchad Just to clarify, the passenger fender had some minor damage from tire rub because the car was sitting very low. We addressed that by slightly raising the ride height to prevent further contact, and we carefully corrected the bend in the fender. We did our best to repair it without affecting the paint, so it's been improved while preserving the original finish as much as possible.@Rjp1982 Yes, the car is located in Colorado. I appreciate your interest, but I’m not able to accommodate an off-site sale.@lowphat88 Yes, the driving video was taken with the suspension set at the same height as shown in the photographs. At that ride height, there is no tire rubbing—whether over bumps, dips, or at highway speeds. The height was adjusted specifically to eliminate any contact while maintaining the car’s overall stance.$27,000 bid placed by @Nimakaramouz

@Louie1072 It appears that there is some damage from the wheel hitting the passenger front fender previously which can happen on lowered cars with aggressive offsets. The fender looks like perhaps it was bent and repaired. Please advise as it doesn’t look perfect like the driver side front wheel arch. Thank you.@louie1072 is this car in Colorado? If so are you willing to do a off site sale?$26,000 bid placed by @Nimakaramouz

This is just perfect 😍@autodusa I have never seen a 140 real or fake AMG coupe made from 1992 to 1999. know of one for sale anywhere in the world ? This is a first to me, I have owned my BLACK ON BLACK 1994 S 500 coupe for 12 years love the car This one is even nicer.@CaptainFrank what are you talking?? AMg made 140 coupe to 600 amg 70 amg 72 amg. But this car is not from AMG as it described its self made with amg parts. But orig parts are expensive. What a beautiful creation.. Was the driving video shot with the car's suspension at the same height as it appears in the photographs? When the ride height is set as it is in the photographs, is there any tire rubbing over bumps or when encountering dips at highway speeds or at the extremes of steering ("lock to lock")? Thank you.I never knew AMG made a 140 coupe. I have owned my 1985 500SL AMG since 1985.Is the auto door and window final close still working ? Do you have the fa tory hydraulic shocks still, the shock reservoir supply hose is pictured in the engine bay. You stated the pump was changed so the back half for the shocks is gone ?very cool you have matching bog body sec's of different generations. Did the c126 ever get soldSublime@6thinline9 The car is on adjustable coilovers, so ride height can be set independently front and rear via threaded perches. There’s plenty of adjustment range, and raising it about an inch from its current height is no problem at all. It’s currently set up for a lower, more aggressive stance, but it can easily be dialed in to a more conservative height if preferred.@Louie1072 can you describe how the height adjustment works … can the car be adjusted to sit about an inch higher? (I assume the fronts and rears can be adjusted independently from one another).@Avvocato Thanks for the question. The car retains its original factory paint and has no accident history. There is no rust or filler present. The AMG body kit and grille have been painted, as noted in the listing description. Photos are presented as taken and have not been enhanced.@coupe_dream Thanks! The sound system was professionally installed by KTC Audio and is a pretty comprehensive setup. It includes JL Audio C3 component speakers front and rear, dual JL Audio 12” subwoofers in a fully custom enclosure, along with a Rockford Fosgate 4-channel amp and a dedicated mono subwoofer amp. The trunk layout is a custom-built enclosure with integrated amp racks and LED AMG logo, all trimmed to match for a clean OEM+ finish. Sound deadening was also added throughout to improve overall audio quality. The sound system invoice and some undercarriage photos will be uploaded shortly.I need to see photos of the chassis and videos BEFORE bidding. Please also answer the questions as to the paint and photos. Is the car available for a PPI? Thank you.@Avvocato Thanks for the comment. All functions (windows, sunroof, gauges, HVAC, lights, radio, seats, etc.) are working as they should with no known issues. At this time I don’t have additional videos beyond what’s already provided, but I’m happy to answer any specific questions.@Louie1072 Thanks! Can you provide more details on the sound system? The trunk setup looks great. And some undercarriage shots.@coupe_dream Thank you! The car is currently located in Colorado. It’s registered in Montana, but there are no known issues that would prevent it from passing California smog if needed. As always, buyers are encouraged to verify local requirements depending on where they plan to register the car.@6thinline9 No vibrations at highway speeds — the car tracks straight and feels smooth and composed.Hi everyone — listing my S500 Coupe AMG Tribute. The goal with this car was an OEM+ AMG-style build — subtle, period-correct, and cohesive rather than overdone. It keeps the original character of the C140 but adds the presence these cars always deserved. Happy to help with any questions along the way. Good luck bidders. Please confirm if this vehicle has been repainted, whether there is any rust or filler anywhere, and if the photos have been enhanced or not. Thank you. Please post photos of the chassis / undercarriage and videos showing everything (windows, sunroof, gauges, HVAC, lights, radio, electric seats, etc.) working, and state if anything is not working. Thank you. What a beautiful beast! I would be tempted to put a small trunk lid spoiler on it just to give the rear end a bit more of an upwards swept look. I would also contact DC MotorWerks to see about a manual conversion. Sadly, for me this is lottery money but GLWS!She’s a beauty! Is the car currently located in California or Colorado? I see it’s registered in Montana. Will it pass smog? Or any issues getting it registered in California?$18,000 bid placed by @Nimakaramouz
