This 2001 Mercedes-Benz S55 AMG was originally sold in Washington State and remained on the west coast in California until its acquisition by the seller in 2018. It is finished in Black (040) over a Black (231) leather interior and powered by a 5.4L V8 paired with a five-speed automatic transmission. Equipment includes COMAND navigation, Parktronic park assist, a Bose sound system, powered multi-contour front seats with heating and cooling, rear roller-blind and an electric trunk closer. Recent service includes a new mass air flow sensor, new battery, all three new accumulators for the ABC system, an ABC system flush, ABC filter, and new tires in the last 3k miles. Now showing 48k miles, this W220 is being offered by the seller with one key, manufacturer’s literature, recent service records, a Carfax report, and a clean Wisconsin title.
The body is finished in Black (040) and accented with the AMG styling package, including a special front spoiler, rear apron, side skirts, and dual chrome exhaust outlets. The provided Carfax report shows minor damage reported to the front end in 2011. The car was professionally paint corrected last year and the paint reportedly presents extremely well with minimal chips or flaws throughout.
Factory 18″ AMG Monoblock wheels are finished in chrome mounted with staggered-width Continental ExtremeContact rubber which were added within the last 3,000 miles. Lighting includes mirror-mounted turn signals and xenon headlamps with retractable washers.
The Black leather (231) interior is complemented by burl walnut trim on the dash, center console, and door panels. The powered multi-contour front seats feature massage, heating, cooling, and memory settings, and additional equipment includes Parktronic Park assist, COMAND navigation, a Bose sound system, automatic climate control, an electric glass sunroof, electric rear roller blind, and sun blinds for the rear window and doors.
The digital odometer indicates just under 48k miles, 3,500 of which have been added by the seller. The car is equipped with remote trunk locking and a power closing system. A factory spare tire and tool kit are retained under the trunk floor.
The hand-built 5.4L M113 V8 was rated at 355 horsepower and 391 lb-ft of torque when new, providing mid-5 second 0-60 times in contemporary testing. Power is sent to the rear wheels through a five-speed automatic transmission. Recent service includes a new mass air flow sensor, new battery, all three new accumulators for the ABC system, an ABC system flush, and new ABC filter.
The Carfax report lists no accidents and one damage report, and shows registration history in Washington and California until its acquisition by the seller in 2018.

The early W220 AMGs are one of the most underrated S classes. The N/A M113 is a beast and these always win when it comes to comfort. If I didn't already have one I'd be bidding! GLWA!
