This 2001 Mercedes-Benz SLK230 Kompressor was delivered new at Mercedes-Benz of Raleigh, NC in April 2000 and subsequently sold as a Certified Pre-Owned Mercedes-Benz to the second owner in 2004 as it remained in North Carolina until being acquired by the present California owner in 2020. Finished in Glacier White (143) over Quartz Two-tone Leather (215), this R170 SLK is powered by a supercharged 2.3-liter M111 powerplant mated to a 6-speed manual transmission. Features include a power-folding hardtop, cruise control, climate control, and a CD changer. Recent work includes an oil/fluid service and new transmission mounts. The odometer presents only 70k original miles, 7k of which have been added by the current owner over the past 2 years. This manual SLK is now offered by the seller with service records, factory books and literature, two keys, a spare tire, first aid kit, a clean Carfax report, and a clean California title.
The body is finished in Glacier White (143) and is free of any rust or corrosion. Exterior features include headlamp washers and a power-retractable hardtop with an electrically heated rear window. Accordingly, the Carfax report shows no accidents or other damage. The seller believes the passenger fender was repainted under previous ownership and rock chips are present and detailed in the gallery below.
The OEM staggered 16” seven-spoke wheels are wrapped in Michelin Primacy HP tires with 2018 date codes and measure 205/55 up front and 225/50 in the rear.
The interior is trimmed in Quartz Two-tone Leather (215) with matching black carpets, dash and center console. The leather hides on the driver’s seat bottom shows wear as pictured in the gallery. Additional features include manual climate control, cruise control, cup holders, and the factory Mercedes-Benz radio with hidden cassette and trunk-mounted CD changer. The rubberized interior trim paint has been refreshed as is evident in the interior photos. Mercedes-Benz carpeted mats are installed and a set of rubber mats are included with the sale.
The four-spoke Sport leather-wrapped steering wheel sits in front of a gauge cluster displaying a 160-mph speedometer, 7k-rpm tachometer, and additional readouts for fuel level and coolant temperature. The digital odometer reads just over 70k original miles with 7k being added by the current seller over the past 2 years. A digital clock and outside temperature gauge are also present.
The ‘Kompressor’ supercharged 2.3-liter M111 powerplant is rated at 185-hp and 200 lb-ft of torque from the factory. Power is sent to the rear wheels via a 6-speed manual transmission. The M111 features a roots-style M62 Eaton supercharger and an air to air intercooler. This SLK comes with a recent service which includes new transmission mounts and an oil/fluid service.
This manual Glacier White SLK is now offered by the seller with factory books and literature, service records, two keys, a spare tire, and a clean Carfax report showing linear mileage updates over the car’s lifetime and no accidents or other damage.
