This 2003 Mercedes-Benz SL500 Designo Launch Edition is registered in California with previous registrations shown in Ohio and Texas, where it was sold new. Exclusive to the Launch Editions, this example is finished in Designo Silver (029) over a Black Leather (201) interior and powered by a 5.0-liter M113 V8 engine paired with a five-speed automatic transmission. The cabin is trimmed in Black leather (201) and features Burl wood accents across the door cards, center console, and steering wheel. Amenities include heated and ventilated multi-contour seats, dual-zone automatic climate control, COMAND with navigation, Designo-embroidered floor mats, and a Bose audio pilot sound system. 

The Burl wood trimmed steering wheel frames a digital display with a 160mph speedometer, a 7k-rpm tachometer, and indicators for coolant temperature and fuel level. Multifunction displays are controlled by buttons mounted to the steering wheel and the digital odometer indicates 65,694 miles.

This 5.0-liter M113 V8 engine was factory rated at 302 horsepower and 339 lb-ft of torque. Power is sent to the rear wheels through a five-speed automatic transmission. The most recent service includes a complete fluid flush in 2022 and the Carfax report shows regular maintenance along with annual emissions testing.
