This 2007 Mercedes-Benz CLK63 AMG Cabriolet was originally sold by Mercedes-Benz of Fresno and has remained in California with a single owner from new until August 2023 when it sold on The MB Market. Finished in Iridium Silver Metallic (775) over Black Nappa Leather (811), power is provided by a hand-built 6.2-liter M156 V8 mated to a seven-speed AMG SpeedShift automatic transmission driving the rear wheels. Factory equipment includes a power soft top, Bi-Xenon headlamps with Active Curve Illumination, heated and ventilated front seats, Keyless-Go with push button start, COMAND with navigation, dual-zone automatic climate control and a Harman/Kardon surround sound system. Recent maintenance includes new trunk lid struts and new intake manifold gaskets. Now showing 30,707 miles, this CLK63 AMG Cabriolet is now being offered for sale in New Jersey with both keys, the original manufacturer’s literature, a clean Carfax report and a clean New Jersey title.
The body is finished in Iridium Silver Metallic (775) and features an electrohydraulic insulated soft top with a heated glass rear pane. AMG body styling consists of a sculpted front air dam with mesh intakes, side skirts, rear apron, trunk lid spoiler and dual polished chrome AMG exhaust tips. Exterior features include Bi-Xenon headlamps and front fog lamps with Active Curve Illumination, rain-sensing wipers, a mesh air deflector, Keyless-Go and heated power-adjustable door mirrors with an auto-dimming driver side. The body shows no signs of damage or rust with no accidents or damage reports appearing on the Carfax.
Staggered 18” five-spoke AMG lightweight alloy wheels come wrapped in a set of Continental ContiProContact tires measuring 225/45 up front and 255/35 rear with 2018 date codes. Silver painted 6-piston AMG calipers bite down on perforated discs mounted to the front axle with four-piston units mounted at the rear.
The AMG sport seats are trimmed in Black Nappa Leather (811) with matching black AMG floor mats and Burl Walnut wood trim which lines the center console and door panels. Both front seats are heated and ventilated with multicontour adjustment for the driver side. Additional interior appointments include dual-zone automatic climate control, rubber studded stainless steel pedals, AMG door sills, a power tilt/telescope steering column, a leather wrapped gear selector with an engine start/stop button, COMAND with navigation, a 12-speaker Harman/Kardon Logic7 surround sound system and a 6-disc CD changer. A variable trunk compartment provides partitioned cargo space when the soft top is folded down.
The four-spoke AMG steering wheel fronts black gauges including a 200-mph speedometer, an 8k-rpm tachometer and an analog clock. Digital instrumentation includes gauges for fuel level and coolant temperature, a configurable central display and a digital odometer which currently shows just under 31k miles from new.
The Carfax report shows just one registered owner with history reported in California from new until August 2023. The Carfax is free of any accidents or damage reports and shows linear mileage updates since new. This CLK63 Cabriolet is now offered for sale by the selling dealer with both keys, the original manufacturer’s literature, a clean Carfax report and a clean New Jersey title.

Good luck to everyone bidding. This is without a doubt one of the nicest examples you will find anywhere. It is truly immaculate inside and out. The color combination is superb on this car. Unfortunately MB will never produce a vehicle like this again. High revving naturally aspirated V8 and one of the most comfortable and luxurious cabins out there. For payment we accept wires only. Payment is expected within 3 business days of the auctions close. We are happy to assist with nationwide transport or to provide a 30 day temporary plate to anyone in need. If you want to own the best I am confident this it! Good luck! Best, Andrew

@benzman I am sorry but I do not have the answer to the majority of your questions. I will provide answers to what I can below. 1. Make and age of main battery and any secondary battery? --Unsure. I am out of town for the holidays. It starts perfectly every time. It's been superbly maintained so I would assume it's no the original battery 2. Have front and rear brake pads and rotors been replaced, or adjusted? If so, pls state date and mileage. Have any of the rotors been honed, resurfaced or turned on a lathe? If so, please state date, mileage and reason for doing so? --Do not know. No brake light is illuminated. 3. What time zone is the "ends on" date? --It ends in 3 hours and 20 minutes from now regardless of time zone, but it's scheduled to end 4:50EST. 4. Has the car ever been tracked? If so, please give details. --No signs of ever being tracked 5. What is the tread depth on each tire? --Do not know. They are in excellent condition with ample tread life remaining. 6. Has any dealer or independent shop recommended service which was not performed? If so, please give details and reason for not following the recommendation. --No 7. Is there a second factory key which will be included in the sale? --No 8. Will all service records be included in the sale? --No. Service history can be found on Carfax which is all we have 9. Is the car free and clear and titled in the name of the seller? --Yes 10. Do you have a German license plate which can be affixed to the front bumper and will it be included in the sale? --No

Hello, is this the same CLK63 that was listed on BAT a few weeks ago? If I am not mistaken, wasn't there a picture of a welded/repaired control arm, or stabilizer bar pictured for this same vehicle at that time?
Ridiculously rare for a modern car. I can see values going up on these with the AMG V8 convertible set up and such low production numbers.

@AMGbeliever THANK YOU!! You are indeed so correct. I am serious when I say I have yet to see one listed where the person says the bolts are replaced and have never had a bolt issue myself. The first thing people do is ask about these bolts when listed on an auction site yet when we sell them via our website it's never asked. Same thing about the timing bearing in the MB V6/V8 of this era. Is what it is. Your assessment and estimate are both spot on. @tks77 I would advise you to have lemonsquad come perform a PPI should you so wish. From what I can see by looking at and driving this car it's in need of nothing and without a doubt one of the nicest one will find anywhere.
@TKS77 Your estimation of doing head bolts on the M156 is way off. A proper shop can do it for $2-3k max. Not to mention the head bolt issue is entirely overcooked. The percentage of M156 cars that actually have the issue is so small. For the 3 friends I've had who have replaced the head bolts on their cars, all found the original bolts were in great condition when removed and it was a waste of money.
@VantageAuto I just checked the previous auction from August and the first two questions on this car are.. 1. Have the engine and transmission mounts been replaced 2. Have the head bolts been replaced. So my request is not unusual or extreme what so ever.
@VantageAuto This is why I suggested going to an independent shop for having the work done to save a few thousand dollars. If you have "extensive experience" with the M156 than you will know that my question is both valid and relevant to this engine. The M156 is prone to head bolt failure (pre 2011.5) and cam phaser issues and most prospective buyers will want to know if they have been addressed. I am looking to purchase my next Mercedes AMG and simply wanted to know if you had addressed this issue or not. You stated that it has not been. Therefore, I would have to factor in a budget of 8-10k to have the issue corrected into the price of the car.
@TKS77 I have extensive experience with this motor. There is no reason to go to an MB dealer to do it. Any MB dealer charging that should be ashamed of themselves. This exact vehicle has sold once already here on MB market in the past few months. I also encourage you to contact most selling a vehicle with this motor and the gross majority of the people will tell you the head bolts have not been done in addition to looking at ended auctions on this and other sites.
@VantageAuto Thank you for your reply. I am sure that will factor into the final sales price as that is a 10-15k repair from Mercedes. I'm sure someone might find it a bit cheaper at an indy shop but still very expensive. The M156 is a glorious engine but has its known flaws. This was a major determining factor when I purchased my 2013 63 and would be with any M156 car.
@TKS77 no record of such. No I am not willing to replace the head bolts as a condition of the sale.
Have the head bolts been replaced ? The M156 from this year until mid-2011 had a critical falw from the factory with defective head bolts that fail and cause catastrophic engine failure. If not are you willing to complete the service as a condition of sale ?

@VantageAuto gotcha! And yeah, I hear you about "can't keep them all."
@Anton we are in the business of selling cars. We also have a collection of about 100 vehicles of our own but as they say...cant keep 'em all!
Welcome all to the auction of this 2007 Mercedes CLK63. This is also our first listing on MB Market which I am very excited about. For those of you not familiar with Vantage Auto, we are a family owned dealership in NJ in business since 1981. We handle in excess of 3,000 vehicles annually as a company. One of our brands, Vantage Auto The Collection specializes in unique, rare, low mileage modern classics such as this CLK. We are the top volume seller on another similar platform that rhymes with tailor :) Very excited to be here on this platform! So...this car is nothing short of exceptional. If you’re looking for what I truly feel like might be the finest example out there this is certainly it. Naturally aspirated V8 is such an awesome power plant! This car sold a few months ago here on MB Market. Classic story. Winner received the car, did not tell his significant other about it, and it had to go. He's a past client of ours and reached out to us about buying the vehicle. It's hands down the nicest one I have laid eyes on in a very long time. This car is nothing short of exceptional. I am going to let the photo gallery do the talking here. I kid you not this car is as crisp as they come. It’s very hard to find a car like this. California owned by one owner since new. It spent a quick month in FL and then came to us in NJ. Good luck to all. Please tag @VantageAuto with any questions you may have and I will get back to you as quickly as possible We are happy to assist with nationwide shipping CeramicPro is also available at 50% off to the winner of this auction which I cannot recommend enough. Not only will it make the car look amazing but it will also ensure the paint stays as incredible as it is for years to come I welcome pre purchase inspections by LemonSquad or any other company that comes to us by appointment should you so wish to have a ppi performed. Good luck to all Best, Andrew
@VantageAuto oh right...it was here. Wondering why you're selling the car after such a short ownership?
@anton no it was not on cars and bids. Thanks for the compliment!
Gorgeous car...was this recently up on Cars & Bids? I have a 2004 CLK55 AMG convertible that I bought on auction here and it's a blast. The 63 is even more insane. GLWTA
