Additional features include a digital display for trip function, infotainment readout, and phone connectivity. The digital odometer currently reads 54,321 miles.
The 5.5-liter M273 V8 was rated at 382 horsepower and 391 lb-ft of torque when new and is mated to a seven-speed 722.9 automatic transmission. Power is sent to the rear wheels and 0-60 mph takes less than 5.5 seconds. Recent maintenance includes a complete check up along with new engine and transmission mounts, spark plugs, rear battery, and a fresh oil and filter change.

In 2007, ABC II was launched. The whole system was re-engineered. That is unless you prefer the front-end re-style of the '09 thru '11 models (which I don't). In '07 Mercedes made many improvements over the previous years, most notably to the ABS system, and especially under the hood on the normally aspirated SL'sThe engine in the 550 gives 82 more hp than the 500.
