The car is finished in Brilliant Silver Metallic (744) and features a stamped pre-merger AMG bodykit including painted AMG fender flares that were exclusive only to these AMG 4.2 models. Other features include a sunroof, headlight wipers, asymmetrical side mirrors, a power antenna, and a panoramic windshield wiper. Close-up photos of the body, lenses, and trim are provided in the image gallery below. The seller reports some clearcoat crazing on passenger side and the horizontal surfaces and higher than average paint meter readings on the driver's side. The extendable power antenna mast is also stuck in the up position.
A walkaround and running video of the car is viewable below:

@JWCT there are no tears in the seats at all from what I remember. Unfortunately, I have left the office for today and am not with the car. I apologize.

Hey last minute question, is there a tear in the backseat backrest (pic 81) and/or an issue with the drivers inboard backrest bolster (pic 70)? I think the front seat may be sun but the back looks like there may be a small issue? Thanks
I so badly wish this was in my budget. To me this is much better than a 500E with the AMG modifications and almost feels Hammer-ish. Considering a real Hammer will set you back a few hundred thousand, this seems like a bargain!

@ccutler05 thank you. I don't believe there is, but there is definitely some prior paint work on the car as indicated in the description.
Great looking W124. It might just be the angle of the pictures, but can you confirm there has been no body work done on the front end? The front bumper gaps looked a little wide to me especially near the front wheels. Thanks.

@equinepeddler Totally agree. The pre-merger AMG pedigree outshines the Porsche pedigree on the 500E/E500 all day long, IMO.

So the real debate is do you take this or a 500E? I think this all day! rarer, lighter, and those three letters on the back....GLWTA!

The photo of the VIN tag has been added.
no worries. It should be posted any minute now. Thanks
no doubt the suspension set up is perfect...but it wouldve been nice to have the original...OK thanks ill keep an eye out for the pic
Also, I do not have the white shocks but with current setup it is still firmer at corners than W124 E500 I also have. I am assuming the original shocks may have worn out and were replaced with new Bilstein. They look new so it was done not long ago.
@driveanythingpa the photo of the AMG label is being sent to MB Market and will be uploaded shortly. What you see on the paint is not car wash scratches. This clear coat damage is very common with early 90's metallic paints on Mercedes and BMW and has nothing to do with car washes. It's due to sun and other elements that basically wear the clear coat. I think these were early water-based, environmental friendly finishes and they were not very durable. The good thing is that the original paint underneath in untouched and those parts of the car can be re-cleared rather than completely repainted. The majority of roof is actually fine. It's only on the outside of roof moldings, trunk lid and vertical panels of passenger side.
Such a shame someone drove this through a car wash continuously. The roof and trunk will have to be repainted as it seems to be too deep into the clear. Do you have the original suspension componenets? Stage 2/3 came standard with period correct white AMG shock absorbers
Can you please post a picture of the AMG vin tag in the drivers door jam

Terrific creation The challenge for us Cali guys is getting it registered here. Gets harder to do even for just older cars. Last grey car I had, a 124 Sportline cab had to be registered in South Dakota and the CHP new the deal. BTW we had a new 1993 E500 but it never looked this cool or menacing Best of luck

When the 500E is not enough, you commission AMG to build this. Lovely looking car and unique. Good luck with the auction and lucky buyer.
Absolutely beautiful car! Good luck with the auction.
