As the R129 gracefully ages, most, if not all of these cars, have seen or need maintenance done to the hydraulic powered top. The R129 is a very tough car, but their only downfall are these rams. This complex series of rams all move in unison under immense pressure to retract the fabric soft top, lock the tonneau into place, and also used to cinch the hardtop to the body so the car can comfortably cruise at 155 MPH. Most owners will come out to their car and find hydraulic fluid under the car from drain holes or find fluid splashed onto their seats or center consoles… and that’s always a deflating day for any R129 owner. There are plenty of rebuilders out there and a lot of tutorials on DIY for the skilled enthusiast, but most people have their cars sent to shops and fork out thousands to have the professionals repair them. This rebuilt kit is the most complete package we’ve seen and only missing the pump that goes into the trunk. Some owners have completely removed these systems, so if you ever buy a car with it stripped, this kit is essential to getting your R129 back to original condition. Or if you have a shop, this rebuilt kit is great to have as a core laying around for install while the removed parts from a customer car are sent out to be rebuilt.

In theory, wouldn't it be good to replace everything? Mine is at 117k miles and pretty sure it hasn't had the job done yet. Are the cables the only thing that don't fit the later models?$250 bid placed by @dlee888
This is way more than what you need to replace what you have , this is a complete set with wires other components, usually they sell you each peace separately, this is like 5k packageWhat will be needed or not needed to install this on my 2001 SL500?$200 bid placed by @dcook

The glaring omission appears to be a pic of the receipt for the rebuild. Did I just miss it somehow?
