I still to this day have very fond memories of my last model year S430 with the sport pkg and a 4matic.
Found it to be comfortable, did indeed felt a bit sporty and was never a maintenance problem.
Was happy when I replaced it to sell it to my sister in law for $1 dollar and smiled when she visited and would see it parked in my driveway as if it never left.

This auction just happened to end on my birthday...today

I think this will be a very interesting replacement, I bought myself a gift this year.
