Has anyone who has requested information heard from the seller? It seems odd that questions asked more than a week ago have not been answered.

@mark1 , Great looking car! A few questions, Is there a carfax link in the auction that I am missing? If not will one be added? Does the carfax report validate the mileage? Any evidence of accidents? Is there any documentation of the repaint such as receipts showing how extensive the job was? If not does it look, at close inspection, like trim items were removed or does it look like they were masked around? In picture #24, is that a paint issue or just glare in the photo? In picture #26 are the washer nozzles loose because the clips holding them are broken? In picture #35 is the side lens broken? In picture #61 is that black paint on the plastic bumper impact strip or water? In picture #69 is the bottom of the rear window starting to delaminate or is that dirt? In picture #100 is the sunvisor mirror broken or is that a reflection? Is there any rust starting at the weep holes at the bottom of the doors and if so could you include a photo in the listing? Finally does the car have the original wiring harness or has it been replaced? I thank you in advance for your responses.

Just a little over an hour left to go. A few more maintenance items that I just noticed were not mentioned in the description. The drive shaft flex joints, the timing chain, and all the air intake hoses have been replaced. A set of new Mercedes carpeted floor mats go with the car as well.

Hello fellow enthusiasts. I am new to the MB Marketplace and this is the first time I have listed a car on the site. I will do my best to answer any questions and welcome any in person inspections. I wanted to give a brief overview of this beautiful 300E. I originally purchased this car for my wife to use as a daily driver. It was a good solid car when I bought it, original paint and interior in great shape for a 30+ year old car, but as is the case with many cars that get sold there was some deferred maintenance that needed to be done to bring the car to the next level. There were seals that were leaking, the car had the original suspension components, climate control didn't operate as designed, etc. I then spent a year going through the systems of the car to make sure the common wear points of the car were renewed thinking I would have ownership of this vehicle for quite some time. Once all that work was done my wife thought the car was too nice to daily drive into a city to potentially get damaged in a parking garage. I got her a different car and this one has spent most of its time in our garage being used occasionally. The car drives beautifully, smooth and quiet. I am a big fan of the 126 and 124 series, the build quality is amazing. If I didn't have so many other cars I would keep this one.

@MSerpeThe stereo was getting power but it would not function. I believe it is very common for these Becker units to have circuitry that burns out. I unplugged it since it wasn't working. As far as history of the vehicle, It started its life down south in Florida I believe. The first owner moved to New York and sold the car to the second owner who was also from New York in 2001. The second owner clearly loved the car and babied it until he was killed on 9/11, he worked in one of the towers. The car then sat garaged for a while until the third owner, who was a good friend of the second owner, purchased the car from the family in 2017. He rarely drove it and it sat in his garage until he sold it to me in 2021. I purchased the car because it had clearly been well maintained and garaged since new.
