ALRIGHT GUYS, THE RESERVE IS OFF!!!! This is going to a new home tonight, good luck whoever gets it!
I just wanted to drop in since there are just a few hours left, see if any of you had any questions. We're almost at the reserve, I didn't set it anything unrealistic. There are only 2 of these, the other one sold at RM Sothebys last year, January 2020, for $324,000 and it had 8700 miles. Hopefully this car find its way to a great collection today. Good luck
@headspacemd I think the SLR in general is misunderstood, most people have never even seen one in real life. I see lots of comments online of how it looks too much like an SL. In person that is not remotely true, the coachwork, the vents, the length of the hood, you can definitely tell its not an R230 if you ever encounter one. It's incredibly long, I drive a '21 e63s wagon and parked side by side(you can see the wagon in the back of the walkaround vid) its almost as long as the wagon, so it may be 2 doors but it is a very long car, very unique for a sports car for sure.
@mika it’s stored in a climate controlled garage at my condo. The really hot and humid houston weather doesn’t affect it. I wish I had a paint meter to show you but I don’t have one, I’m not a car dealer so don’t exactly have one lying around. I will say Mercedes greenway would never have taken the car back in trade if it had been repainted. I purchased it from them in January right after they took it in trade. They told me it had never been repainted and I knew the guy in charge so I trust what he told me is true
@vincero truthfully this wasn’t even a planned purchase. My dad was at the dealer ordering his new s class in January and sent me a pic of this on the showroom floor and I bought it in less than an hour. I’m selling bc I live in a condo with 2 parking spaces, nothing more. I’d rather my not daily driver be something I can put lots of miles on. As you can see I’ve added almost 600 since January. That’s quite a bit for 6 months of ownership. This car is a museum piece, I’m a driver. This is a car for someone with a big collection who wants to stare at it and keep miles low, it was an impulse buy for me. I love it, it’s beautiful, it’s rare, but I want something I can drive without caring about mileage.
