Hi everyone! Welcome to the auction! I bought this ML55 recently to try out the W163 platform after owning several other Mercedes from the late '90s and early '00s. It sort of found me, as I was not in the market for one- but it was hard to pass up on what was once the world's fastest SUV- now in 2024, a relatively rare and quirky classic AMG in a fun color and in nice shape to boot. Ultimately I decided the ML does not really suit the particular purpose I had in mind without modifying what is a very nice stock example. But I've really enjoyed driving this thing around in the meantime and the next owner is sure to enjoy it, too. Hi @ProdigalPetrolHead - can we get some closer photos of exterior part of the top to assess the paint quality? Some paint meter readings would be nice as well. Also, any possibility of shipping or is it pick up only?
Chiming in here last minute- I too took a ride in this car last week and was really impressed with the build. The M113 and 5 speed suits the character of this car really well and is a worthy upgrade over the M117. This one is done well and @KwiekClassics has done a tremendous job doing this swap right.
