This 2003 Mercedes-Benz SL55 AMG is finished in Black (040) over Anthracite (281) leather interior and shows just under 52k miles. The SL55 was distinguished from the standard R230 SL by a quad-exit exhaust system, lowered ride height, tinted taillights, revised bumpers and side skirts, and AMG badging. The body is finished in Black (040) and the selling dealer notes minor rock chips in the front bumper area as denoted in the gallery. The Carfax report shows no accidents or other damage throughout the entirety of the car’s history.

The power folding hardtop had the hydraulic cylinders replaced under the selling dealer’s custody and is photographed in both the open and closed positions in the gallery. A video of the convertible top operation is also linked below for review. Staggered 18″ AMG wheels wear Pirelli P Zero tires sized 255/40 in the front and 285/30 in the rear.

The interior is finished in Anthracite leather with a contrasting black dashboard and grey stitching. Equipment includes multi-contour heated dynamic seats, COMAND navigation, a Bose sound system, burl wood trim on the center console, and more. The odometer currently displays just under 52k, with 50 miles being added by the selling dealer in the past two months.

The supercharged 5.4-liter V8 produced 493 horsepower and 516 lb-ft of torque when new. Power is sent to the rear wheels through a 5-speed automatic transmission, which can also be shifted manually. Service in the past six months included an oil change and new convertible top hydraulic cylinders.

The recent Carfax report and Autocheck report shows no accidents or other damage, and lists linear mileage updates along with 32 dealer service history records.
