The 80’s were a really good time to be alive. There was big hair, rock and roll, neon lights, Miami Vice, and no one had ever heard of Twitter or Facebook. This W126, while in need of some TLC, finds a way to capture the spirit of the 80's with it's White over Blue color combination, two-tone body kit, and multi-piece wheels, all of which are mirrored to look like the AMG's of the era. With some attention to detail, this car could become a very spectacular build or alternatively, become the perfect driver for someone who has the DIY skills to perfect it over time. Whatever the case, there's no denying this W126 is an eye catcher as the heritage of tuner Benzes from the 80's continue to become widely polular.

great info , i was just watching a video about the amg shop in japan jstar and saw their cars had LOGO less amg three piece wheels. So i guess you are right that some company out there either forge or casted their own
@TheAMGKit just sent the pictures of the back of the wheels to be uploaded. Centers have a serial number and are stamped made in Japan. I read about them in the MB forums and other source and due to the increased demand for AMG wheels in Japan in the 80's and 90's these wheels were built there with high quality alloys and more aggressive fitments and lips than the Germany supplied wheels.

@kokolomoush in my opinion the LWB has a stunning look when lowered, with an aerokit and proper wheels. you also benefit with added options like the reclining rear seats and better highway ride.
@TheAMGKit is there something wrong with the Performas? I almost thought about buying a set.
yeah im sure they are not the chinese junk, but interesting to know how they are stamped, thanks
@TheAMGKit will look into it. They are not the Chinese Performas as the wheels on this car are multi piece with proper hardware. I’ll send some pics to MBM to upload in the coming days
needs some love no doubt...excelllent starter project. Curious about the wheels. COuld you photo the inside of the one of the wheels for amg oz markings as i do not see any on the outside. I know there is one character in germany who has built very proper 3 piece version replicas without the amg logo, which these may be....as i do not think they are the china made performas.
@DW168 it does have tons of potential, the look and the stance is all there indeed. I am torn about the flares because they were such a popular period add on in the early 80's. Add yellow fog lamps to match the headlights and a paint job (I would keep the two tone) in this great 1980's theme.
If this was an SE I would be all over it.

This thing needs a makeover.... First thing to do is to remove those chrome arches, one of the biggest mistakes of the 80's, IMHO.
