This 2002 Mercedes-Benz CL600 was first sold by RBM of Atlanta in January of 2002 to the original owner who retained the car through 2004 until the current owner acquired it. It currently shows 37k original miles on the odometer. Finished in Obsidian Black Metallic (197) over Exclusive Java Leather Leather (514), power is provided by a 5.8-liter V12 mated to a five-speed automatic transmission. Notable features and options include the AMG Sport Package, Parktronic, Distronic, Xenon headlamps, heated and ventilated Multi-Contour front seats, a rear roller blind, power sunroof, and more. The selling dealer notes service records were maintained by the original owner and the current owner with records dating back to new. This CL600 has 37k original miles and is now offered with manufacturer’s literature, 1 key FOB, 1 key card, original window sticker, records since new, a clean Carfax report, and a clean Georgia title.
The car is finished in Obsidian Black Metallic (197) and features xenon headlights, a sunroof, frameless side windows, power-folding side mirrors with integrated turn signals, and dual polished exhaust outlets. In addition, this example shows the Sport Package consisting of AMG-sculpted front and rear bumpers and side skirts. The Carfax report shows one minor in the rear in 2018. The seller has included photos of paint meter readings in the gallery and the body shows original paint on the metal panels that could be metered.
Original staggered AMG Five Spoke Monoblock 18” wheels are shown in silver paint with machined lips and wear Michelin Pilot Sport A/S tires measuring 245/45 and 275/40 respectively and showing 2011 date codes. The wheels wear some light curb rash and show OEM center caps. ABC suspension is fitted at all four corners of the car and had warranty work done at 4k miles in 2004 where the origiinal selling dealer replaced the ABC pressure supply valve and the related line.
The cabin features seating surfaces upholstered in Exclusive Java Leather (514), a leather-wrapped dashboard with Chestnut wood trim accents on the center console, doors, and steering wheel. Equipment includes heated and ventilated 14-way power-adjustable front seats, dual-zone automatic climate control, an electric rear window shade, COMAND infotainment with navigation, and a Bose audio system connected to a trunk-mounted CD changer. Operational Parktronic displays can be seen at the front and rear of the cabin and Distronic controls are shown adjacent to the shift surround. A push button stop/start is optioned in the shift knob.
The leather-wrapped and chestnut wood multifunction steering wheel fronts a 160-mph speedometer, a tachometer, and gauges for coolant temperature and fuel level. The center infotainment screen and digital clock and outside temperature gauge are fully functional with all working pixels. The digital odometer indicates 37k miles, approximately 33k of which were added by the current owner between 2004 and 2022.
The 5.8-liter M137 naturally aspirated V12 was factory rated at 362 horsepower and 391 lb-ft of torque when new. Power is sent to the rear wheels through a 722.6 five-speed automatic transmission. The seller notes service records were maintained by the original owner and them by himself. A faulty coil pack was replaced under warranty in 2002 and the right cylinder head front cover was replaced as well as a ignition coil control module at 9k miles in 2006. Regular oil changes and B-service invoices are shown in the records. Detailed undersides are shown in the gallery that show no corrosion and a dry underbelly with healthy bushings and boots.
The included Carfax report shows linear mileage updates since new, a clean history, and two owners. This CL600 has 37k miles and is now offered with manufacturer’s literature, original window sticker, records since new, 1 key FOB, 1 key card, a clean Carfax report, and a clean Georgia title.

You get better at your craft as you age as you become more practiced. Some artists disagree with that basic notion as one loses that creative spark with age which is what filmmaker Quinten Tarantino argues. The mid to late ‘90s provided us with some questionable Sacco designs as he was famously unhappy with the W140, and the W210 procured a “love it or hate it” sense of tribalism. Some argued Bruno Sacco had lost his touch. Then the C215 came out and he shut all the haters up. It was and currently is widely regarded as one of the most beautiful Mercedes-Benz penned by the Italian designer, which was also one of his last designs with the company. There’s a sex appeal with the look of this pillarless coupe and was a departure of the stocky design of the C140. This example is downright beautiful painted Obsidian Black with the tender, delicate Java leather interior that juxtaposes the sleek, jet fighter body when you open the door and its innards glow like a candle lit cabin window on a dark rainy cold night. The low miles, clean underside, operating ABC suspension, and torquey V12 power plant make for an excellent grand tourer that will eat continents for breakfast while attacking highways with the grace and speed of Concorde.
