This 1961 Mercedes-Benz 220SEb Coupe is finished in Medium Red over Tan upholstery and was originally delivered new to the United States. The car was then exported to Canada in 2010 where it currently resides. Power is provided by a 2.2-liter M127 inline-six mated to a 4-speed manual transmission driving the rear wheels. Factory equipment includes manual windows, manually-adjustable front seats, a Becker Europa II radio, front defrosters, two-speed windshield wipers, a manual antenna and four-wheel disc brakes. Now showing just over 37k miles (TMU) on the odometer, this 220SEb Coupe is offered for sale by the selling broker in Montreal, Canada with a car cover and a clean Canadian registration.
The exterior is refinished in factory-correct Medium Red and the seller notes the car has been previously repainted. Paint meter readings are viewable in the gallery. The exterior features chrome trim lining the bumpers, side sills and window frames. Solid glass Euro headlights are mounted up front framing the high grille. Additional exterior equipment includes a sunroof, manual antenna, a driver and passenger-side door mirror and two-speed wipers with a windshield washer system.
13” wheels wear chrome caps with chrome lips and a paint-matched steel face. The wheels are fitted with BF Goodrich Silvertown Radial tires measuring 185/80 on all four corners. A full-size spare is mounted in the trunk along with the factory tool kit and jack. The 220SEb features dual-wishbone front suspension with swing axle rear suspension and power-assisted disc brakes on all four corners.
The cabin is finished in Tan upholstery with wood trim lining the dashboard, A-pillars, center console, and cluster surround. Both front seats offer manual adjustability with reclining seat backs. The dashboard and wood trim shows wear from age. Interior appointments include heating and ventilation with a front defroster, manual windows, ventilating corner windows, front and rear seatbelts, a lighter, a lockable glove compartment, a dash-mounted clock and a Becker Europa II radio. The seller notes the clock is inoperable.
The two-spoke white steering wheel frames analog instrumentation consisting of a 140-mph speedometer, a 7k-rpm tachometer and gauges for fuel level, oil pressure and coolant temperature. The car shows just over 37k miles (TMU) on the five-digit analog odometer.
This W111 cabriolet is powered by a 2.2-liter M127 inline-six which is rated for 120 horsepower and 137 lb-ft of torque. Power is sent to the rear wheels through a floor-shifted 4-speed manual transmission driving the rear wheels. The selling consignor reports an engine-out rebuild under prior ownership and it runs and drives without any issues. The current owner is said to be a retired mechanic who serviced the car since his acquisition in 2020.

@jgcars1453 I had a friend who exported a car to the US a month or two ago and it was 2.5% since it was considered a classic. Not sure if that's the case still or if anything may have changed. What will the tariff be if imported to the US? I’m seeing 25% for non American vehicles but then I see it’s only 2.5% for vintage vehicles. However with the new tariff laws, it is kind of unclear. Does anyone have more info on this?$23,600 bid placed by @phcook
