The second generation CLK55 AMG continues to surprise and delight drivers, both new and tenured, to the AMG brand. These cars combined modern era styling with the bulletproof naturally-aspirated M113 V8, eight years after the engine had already proven its worth in the previous generations of hot rods from Affalterbach. While cars like the W210 E55 AMG and W202 C43 AMG continue to rise in value, the 209 chassis CLK55 AMG has remained an affordable option for those looking to harness old-school mechanical power while enjoying modern styling and handling. However, as these cars continue to age that too will surely change. There aren’t many comparable options in this price range when searching for top down fun behind a large displacement V8. Additionally, this CLK features a much needed Euro AMG quad-exhaust which they should've all had from the factory and displays in a stunning and rare interior color. This AMG cabriolet should make a great driver for anyone wanting a proper AMG without breaking the bank.

Hey everyone....I'm pulling the reserve on the vehicle. I don't have time to mess with this much as I'm heading out of the country in a few weeks for an extended trip so she's gotta go....one way or another, she's going to belong to someone today. Thanks for all your interest!
@BlueDevilBill CW Performance said the purge valve after review was functioning correctly. I have not replaced these. Only other issue they said was a slight valve cover gasket leak. I did not replace these as there is no oil under the engine or any major residue. So I'm assuming it's minor.
Looks like a lot of issues on the repair summary from 5/15/23. Included rotors, exhaust leak, engine seal oil leak, etc. Have these been addressed? Thanks.
@CLKPro Ooooh....OK. Thanks for the education. That sounds about right. If it was manufactured about 5 years ago, I probably bought it within a year after that so that makes sense. There's very little mileage on these as I hardly drive her.
@ceschofield The date code is on the sidewall in an oval. I can sort of see it on the picture titled "img_2538" and looks like it might be 4918, which would be the 49th week of 2018, almost exactly 5 years old
@Benzman I'm not sure where to find the Date Code but this is what I have on the tires. They are Bridgestone Potenza RE980AS so they are their ultra high performance tires. 255/35R19. They are quiet and grip like super glue. I got them probably about 3-4 years ago but considering I drive the car only 300-600 miles per year over the past 4-5 years they have very little wear. Thus why I'm selling the car, I just don't drive her much anymore. Is this the date code? DOT RB32 R98 4719. Sorry for my ignorance. Trying to help though.
@thembmarket Thank you! That's the major services. I went to different places for full synthetic oil changes and changed the tires to these Potenzas that are not from CW Performance but otherwise, the service records show every major repair through the years I've had her.
Service records have been added to the gallery.
A walkaround video has been added to the listing.
date code on the tires please, as well as the brand and model of the tires. thank you.
@MannyGee Did a video walkaround for you and any others wanting to see the car to make your own assessment of paint and such. https://youtu.be/0M9Xz60sZ64

@MannyGee From my understanding as this was before I had the car, it was just a fender bender. Nothing major. No structual damage at all and doors close firmly, car goes fast and hard with no body shakes, it takes turns confidently and aggressively with no wiggle. The color difference is the lighting with the sunsetting and the shadows as it is hitting the car. To the eye no one (myself included) has ever seen a difference though I see the concern in the photo. I'll take a walk around video after Thanksgiving and post it so you can see for yourself and make your own assessment. :) I'll try to get pics of the undercarriage as well but take her out for a spin and push her hard and you'll see there is nothing to be concerned about.
This car looks immaculate and well kept. However, In your description it reads that the car was involved in an accident in 2008. Appears to me that the damage may have been at the rear quarter panel and whoever painted the car did not match the color properly. There is a discoloration of the passenger rear quarter panel. My question is does the passenger door close properly? And could you provide pics of the under carriage, particularly under the right rear of the car? Thanks
@Anton Thanks for the interest. She's been a beauty of a car. Super fast, sounds amazing and this one I feel is more aggressive looking than others I've seen I think due to the quad exhaust, low profile tires, wing on the rear and the camber is set in just ever so slightly. I get looks and comments on her all the time. The original head unit was starting to fail so I wanted one that had more modern features so this one has GPS, MP3 capability and connects to the rear camera I had installed. Everything works great and she takes corners with no trouble at all. I have 2 key fobs for the car too....1 is the modern chrome style and another is the older black plastic one which is good for a backup (needs batteries). I've loved driving her the most during the fall during leaf season in the mountains. It's absolutely stunning but to have the top down brings a whole new level of beauty and amazement. I'm emotional about letting her go but I'm sure she's going to make someone else very happy moving forward.
I bought my current '04 CLK55 AMG convertible from MB Market, but think I need two in my stable! Gorgeous car...love the two-tone interior and upgraded Head unit. Can you tell more about it?
$2,500 bid placed by @Anton
@p2p2p2 She is a joy to drive and glorious to hear. :)
@Skid44 It's got to be the lighting of the area we photographed in as I have never noticed any discoloration and have fawned over this car since owning it. I'm staring at it right now in the garage and cannot tell any difference. I'll take it out on a day that's not dreary and raining and will take walk around video for everyone to see. Have a great Thanksgiving!
Passenger door appears discolored? Any insight?
Best engine MB ever built!!
