Still for sale?
@lionsfan54 I feel ya though I think it's pretty standard service history... If I was in the market I'd want to personally get there and do PPI. Put it on a lift etc, test drive it etc.
To all those commenting on the value of a Mercedes VMI, I agree wholeheartedly. However I can tell you from many years of experience, getting a VMI these days is almost impossible. MB is getting tougher and tougher giving these out. Some make it sound like all you have to do is ask for one and they’ll print it out for you. Good luck. And my mechanic, who worked years for Mercedes and still has a close friend as a service manager at a dealer and still could not get the actual VIN, just highlights from it.
Unfortunately we was close on this one but not close enough. Thanks for the bids and comments guys! @convertedgerman @rezwiththebens @outthere @rdm7533
didn't mean to hijack, sorry
@lionsfan54 If this one had half the miles, sure....at 100k the value is pretty much the value. IDK, I have a few really low mileage 221's like it and this just seems so approachable that I think muddying the conversation with questions around minimal value changes don't do the car any favors. I know these cars well and agree a VMI helps add value but at the same time I've seen dealer serviced cars get VMI's that don't show much of anything. It's not the bible to the car and the car isn't a blue chip example. Take it for what it is a well-kept driver V12. @seller, don't intend to hijack, just really appreciate seeing these with miles!
@NYCdriver agree to disagree, people that know these cars know the value a VMI adds. You get to see what part numbers were used etc. For a machine this complex, seeing 3 word entries on CarFax just doesn't cut it.

No secret I love nearly all MB's V12 variants (Maybe with the exception of the M137 V12...which still feels great when maintained) but I find all the VMI talk interesting. As something that was never really meant to be in the public's hands, a VMI is hard to come by and MOST dealers won't give them out anyway. It's obvious by the Carfax and the seller's messages that this car's been well-kept but if I were in the market for a cheap V12 MB, this would be up the list considering the dealer services and options list. @_joshyyyyy Good luck with the sale- hopefully this one goes to a home that appreciates how great these cars are!
Are you able to assist with transportation?
@Sergey I'd love to see 13 years of service history

Thank you guys all for the respectful comments on the S65, we personally drove it and put over 300 miles to work, since the vehicle rides like a cloud with a torque monster engine. There is no mechanical issues at the time, suspension works great does not sink, transmission shifts extreme smooth, and we can’t find any oil leaks. She’s ready to go for many more miles truly!
I agree a VMI is most helpful. I did not mean to sound arrogant at all. 30kMiles on the brakes is pushing it, I agree. Yes your questions are quite reasonable. As an aside, I have a 2013 S600 with Renntech tuning. It has 625 hp and 750 torque. More than the S65, however mine is a 5.5L and this has the monster 6L. The S65 also has better brakes.
@S600V12 Yes, I read the entire car fax. I did notice the work performed in October 2014 at 69,417 miles. That was over 10 years ago and 30,000+ miles. I believe my questions are reasonable given the information provided so far. If you disagree, please explain. I am always willing to learn and not come across in an inappropriate manner. Thank you for bringing this up.
@rdm7533(1) Did you read the car fax? It shows the pads done at69k miles. I am reading on my phone, so I could not tell if coil packs had been done. What about ABC pump Any fluid flushes? Your dealer should let you look at it but may not print the VMI. It helps if you have a relationship with the service writers. Maybe even occasionally take the a bottle of whiskey. Works for me.

When were pads, rotors, belts, spark plugs last replaced?
VMI will show dealer service history from first purchase through current day.
What is the purpose of getting VMI when it most likely has records only till 2020? Or am I wrong here?
$9,400 bid placed by @FORMETBUILD
@_joshyyyyy nah, they cite confidentiality and won't release it
@lionsfan54 hello we don’t have one, but you can call your local MB dealer and they should be able to provide you with one.
VMI available to look over?
