This example is mounted with painted 15” 8-hole aftermarket wheels wearing Michelin Defender tires with 2016 date codes on all four corners. Some wheels show light curb rash. The A124 came standard with ABS. The underside video showcases new steering damper, tie rods, center drag link, lower control arms, and healthy flex discs. Rear brakes were done at 69k miles.
The cabin is upholstered in Beige Leather (265) and features matching beige carpets and Burl Walnut wood trim which lines the center console, dashboard and door panels. A digital outside temperature sensor can be found mounted below. The six-digit odometer shows just under 78k miles from new. The included Carfax report shows 7 service history records along with physical service invoices. The magnesium valve cover shows no exterior bubbling or disintegration. The seller states this M104 engine has had both upper and lower engine wiring harness replaced as proven by the inspection video. Although there is no service invoice for the head gasket, earlier invoices note a leak at the rear passenger side of the block. The inspection video shows a freshly milled cylinder head, no leaks, bright aluminum cylinder head meaning it was cleaned by a cylinder head shop, and the front timing cover shows no leakage at the plate or mustache seal. A head gasket has been replaced in recent years. The driving video shows a smooth transmission and healthy engine.

The seller has inlcuded the following videos:
Out of the 2,727,860 W124s built over its production run, only 12,229 cabriolets were produced with a $79,000 MSRP new which is $170,000 today. Keep in mind a 1995 SL500 cost $90,000. These A124s were heavily modified saloons with a shortened wheel base, extra structural additions, chopped windshields/A-pillars, and of course different doors and quarter panels. Even the roll bars were leather stitched and the M104 in-line six was an expensive engine to build. It is a car that would never be made today by the brand, which makes these extra special to Mercedes-Benz enthusiasts. This E320 Cabriolet sports a new top, very recent suspension refresh, new hydraulic rams, head gasket replacement, and new wiring harnesses making it an enticing buy for A124 fans. GAHH provides OE quality seat covers if you want to refinish the seats or you can just slap on period correct beige sheep skin overs on top and let it roll. This Cabriolet offers so many more miles of enjoyment and the 040 Black painted lower cladding updates the overall look of the car. We think some Monoblocks and amber corner lights would go a long way on this example.
