This 2008 Mercedes-Benz CLK550 Cabriolet was purchased new by its original owner from Mercedes-Benz of Encino showing registration in California, Arizona, New Jersey and Pennsylvania with 105k miles on the odometer. Finished in Black (040) over Ash Leather (808), power is provided by a 5.5-liter V8 linked with a seven-speed automatic transmission driving the rear wheels. Equipment includes a power-folding soft top, heated front seats, dual-zone automatic climate control, Bi-Xenon headlamps with Active Curve Illumination, Harman Kardon audio and a 6-disc CD changer. Recent maintenance consists of an oil change and a top hydraulic rebuild. This 2008 CLK550 Cabriolet is now offered for sale by the selling dealer with the original manufacturer’s literature, a clean Carfax report and a clean Arizona title.

The exterior is finished in Black (040) and features AMG body styling with a sculpted front air dam, rear bumper, side skirts and dual chrome AMG exhaust tips. The black fabric soft top is fully power operated with the hydraulic cylinders recently rebuilt. Exterior equipment includes power auto-dimming mirrors, Bi-Xenon headlamps with Active Curve Illumination, heated headlamp and windshield washers and front fog lights. The seller reports that the car recently received paint correction with no damage or rust present on the body of the vehicle.

The 18” AMG twin five-spoke alloy wheels come wrapped in a set of Sumitomo HTR all-season tires measuring 255/40 front and 255/35 rear. Minor curb rash is visible in the finish of the wheels.

The cabin is trimmed in Ash Leather (808) with matching all weather floor mats and Burl Walnut wood trim which lines the center console, dashboard and door panels. Both front seats are heated with 10-way power adjustability and three-position memory. Additional interior amenities include dual-zone automatic climate control, a power tilt/telescope steering column, COMAND with navigation, a Harman Kardon Logic7 surround sound system and a 6-disc CD changer mounted in the glove box.

The multifunction steering wheel features black shift paddles and frames a 160-mph speedometer along with a 7k-rpm tachometer, an analog clock and digital gauges for fuel level and coolant temperature. A configurable digital display is mounted at the center of a speedometer with a digital odometer below which currently shows 105k miles from new.

This soft top cabriolet is powered by a 5.5-liter V8 which produces 382 horsepower and 391 lb-ft of torque. Power is sent to the rear wheels through a seven-speed automatic transmission. The seller reports that an engine oil and oil filter change was recently performed with service receipts included with the vehicle.

The Carfax report shows four owners from new with registration in California, Arizona, New Jersey and Pennsylvania. Linear mileage updates and regular service visits are shown from new with no accidents or damage reports appearing on the Carfax. This 2008 CLK550 Cabriolet is now offered in Medley, Florida with the original manufacturer's literature, a clean Carfax report and a clean Arizona title.

The MB Market Insights

The A209 CLK550 was, in our humble opinion, one of the best cars to come out of Mercedes-Benz during this era and although the car was designed in the early 2000's, it really hit its full stride with the 2008 model year with that big 5.5L V8 crammed up front. From the Burl veneer to the folding soft top, it's easy to track lineage from the A124 Cabs and other classic 4-seater convertibles from previous generations but the engine combination and Sport package made this something truly special. This example has been well maintained including recent service and regularly reported service visits on the Carfax. Showing a clean history, this CLK550 is sure to provide many more years of top-down fun to its lucky new owner.
