The exterior of this flagship coupe is finished in Ruby Metallic (572) and features a power tilt/slide glass sunroof, Xenon headlamps, front fog lights, power adjustable and power folding door mirrors and Parktronic parking sensors. The seller notes that the power mirrors are inoperable and do not currently adjust or fold and that one of the parking sensors is malfunctioning. The driver-side door mirror is beginning to discolor as seen in photos. The exterior is in good condition with no signs of rust or body damage present.
18” AMG five-spoke alloy wheels come finished in chrome and wear a set of Advanta tires measuring 245/45 on all four corners. The CL500 comes equipped with self-leveling suspension in the rear. Recent service performed in December 2022 included a new set of rear accumulators, a set of front shock absorbers, and a full set of brake pads, rotors and sensors along with a new brake light switch.
The cabin is trimmed in Beige Nappa Leather (235) and features matching beige floor mats as well as Burl Walnut wood trim which can be found lining the center console, dashboard and door panels. The wood trim is in good condition and shows no signs of cracking or discoloration. The heated multicontour front seats offer 12-way power adjustment along with three-position memory for both driver and passenger. Interior equipment includes a power operated rear sunshade, dual-zone automatic climate control, an 11-speaker Bose audio system and a CD changer mounted in the trunk. The front seats fold forward to provide access to the second row. The seller states that the power windows are not functional.
The beige leather steering wheel fronts a 160-mph speedometer along with a 7k-rpm tachometer, an analog clock and gauges for fuel level, coolant temperature and oil pressure. The digital odometer currently reads just 57k miles with 400 miles being added by the current owner.
This C140 is powered by a 5.0-liter M119 V8 which is factory rated at 315 horsepower and 347 lb-ft of torque. Power is sent to the rear wheels through a five-speed automatic transmission. Service in December 2022 included a full synthetic engine oil and oil filter change.
The Carfax report shows linear mileage from new with one minor damage report shown occurring in 2015 on the right rear side of the car. No other damage reports or accidents are shown. This 1999 CL500 is now offered for sale by the current owner in Glendale, Arizona with a clean Arizona title.

Well bought and love the colors. Real AMG Monobloc Aero II's silver with polished-lip would look better.
Congratulations to the winner. Mirrors most likely need to be rewired as the wiring breaks due to sun exposure, had to do this with mine, tedious but doable if you're handy. There is a company that sells all the wires if you want to do it yourself. Driver's side mirror glass with auto dimming is available from mercedes for around $250.

@911anc Yes the car is ready for a long roadtrip no question about that. My wife and I took it on a road trip to Sedona Arizona which is 1.5 hours away one-way. My mecahnic does not have the capability to distinguish why the mirrors are not responsive.
Is the seller not responding to any questions? Auction could be more active if you’d respond.

Hi, question to the seller. Any panels on the car was painted besides rear bumper? Did you ever checked the car with the paint meter?? Also, Is any rock chips on the hood and front bumper?
Is this car ready for a longer road trip? Have you looked into the parking sensors and mirror not working.. is it a wiring issue? Just want to be clear on any issues/concerns. Thank you.

Additional receipts have been added to the gallery. Thank you.
Take a picture of receipt and then add photo from your phone thx
@Cbrando Thanks for your interest. Let me state that all of the windows work perfectly which also includes the sunroof, im not sure why the listing says the windows are not working, this must be an error. The soft closing doors work perfectly as well. I would like to upload the invoice but im not sure how, if someone can assist me I can upload it to the chat box. Thanks in advance, Stan.
Since you are planning on going to the mechanic for pictures, do you have any information on why the windows are not working? Concerned about potential electric issues. Thank you.
Hi do you happen to have the repair receipts for work done under your ownership -also if you had a price on the repairs needed? Thanks Carey
@911anc Thanks for the questions and interest, I do not have much information about the damage which carfax is showing but when I took it into my mechanic for evaluation he stated that there was no impact but a small section of the bumper was painted, it is still the original bumper with no repairs outside of repainting. I will try to provide a undercarriage photo, I will need to connect with my mechanic to see his availability to lift the Mercedes.
I got the same car I bit less miles Is indeed a rare color from my understanding are less than 5 in this color Only 19 cars for final year Gl
What information do you have regarding the damage on carfax? Paint meter reading? underbody pictures?
@Boatymcboatface I agree with you, the picures are beautiful but the true beauty is in person. I am a collector who primarily owns all black MB but I have to say this is one of the finest color combination Mercedes Benz put together.

This really is a pretty car. A color that looks better in person and with all of the new jelly-bean cars these are really standing out and looking better every day.
