This 1999 Mercedes-Benz C43 AMG is one of just over 500 US-spec examples built for the 1999 model year. The seller acquired the car in October 2020 and has added approximately 1,200 miles of the 133,227 miles since the purchase. Having received a recent professional repaint, this C43 is finished in a repainted Glacier White (143) over a Graphite and Anthracite (581) leather interior. It’s powered by the original 4.3-liter M113 V8 and is accompanied by recent service records including a complete fluid flush, all new filters, a new crank position sensor, and a new fuel pump regulator. This W202 AMG is offered by the owner with recent service records, a clean California title, and original accessories and books.
This W202 is fitted with an AMG-specific body kit including both bumpers and side skirts along with an AMG-stamped dual exhaust outlet. In the mid 2010’s this C43 AMG received a complete repaint including the door jams and trunk lining. Per the decoded VIN, the original color was Brilliant Silver (744). All the original glass remains and the body remains rust and corrosion free. Aftermarket accessories include 19” Carlsson wheels, clear front marker lights and a painted trunk lip spoiler.
The staggered 19” Carlsson 1/16 wheels were added by the previous owner and are wrapped in Sumitomo HTR ZII tires. The original 17” Monoblock wheels will be included in the sale and photos of both sets of wheels can be seen in the gallery. Aftermarket Brembo brakes have been added to all four corners along with stainless steel brake lines and H&R springs for improved handling and stance.
Graphite/Anthracite (581) AMG-Exclusive Nappa leather upholstery is accented by burl wood veneers on the dash, center console, and doors. Interior equipment includes heated orthopedic front seats, an aftermarket head unit with Bluetooth, and a factory power sunroof. The original Becker head unit will be included in the sale along with the radio key and OEM CD changer. The seller notes the leather trim on the drivers door handle is slightly lifting.
The 4.3-liter M113 V8 produced 302 horsepower and 302 lb-ft of torque from the factory and is paired with a five-speed 722.6 automatic transmission. Recent service includes a complete fluid flush, all new filters, tie rods, a new crank position sensor, and a new fuel pump regulator.
The included Carfax shows moderate damage in 2015. A cold start video has been provided by the seller along with walk around and driving videos below. A clean California title is present along with one key, books, and various factory accessories.

@aksharamin you’ve been nothing short of utterly disrespectful, inconsiderate, and mean-spirited but still I wish you nothing but the best in life. I hope you can one day take a step back and see how miserable the way you treat other humans is. Take care man and enjoy your dope c43!
@EJO8 .
@aksharamin - all I’m pointing out is the never ending irony and hypocrisy in literally everything that you’ve said so far. Judging by all of your insults and threats, I think it’s fair to say that you’re the one who is offended..even though I have not once said anything offensive or derogatory towards you. You’re mad because I’m forcing you to be a little self reflective for once in your life and you can’t handle it. Show me where I’m harassing anyone on this thread - you won’t find it because I’m not an emotional train wreck. If you ever want to have an intelligent conversation, I’d love to. But all you’ve offered is the standard online tough-guy act; doesn’t it get tiring being so boastful and angry?? Lighten up man, all that hate is clouding your light. I know it’s deep down in there, but let it out sometime! You’ll feel so much better, I promise.
@EJO8 .
@aksharamin you just keep proving my point. The fact that you can’t see that makes me sad for you. Calling me a coward hiding behind a screen but here you are, threatening and insulting me...behind a screen. Again - astonishing irony.
@EJO8 .
@aksharamin - the tragic irony of everything you say continues. Insults and meaningless words. Telling me to get back to work and to stop tagging you and to move on, yet here you are - doing those exact things that you’re telling me not to do.
@EJO8 .
@aksharamin “still talking the same nonsense”?? I provided insightful conversation into this thread, while all you provided was childish insults and meaningless banter. Stop projecting your own insecurities. The last thing I need from you is advice, I appreciate it though. Once again, all you have to contribute are baseless insults because you have nothing meaningful to say.. “you seem super annoying”, “you’re a negative Nancy”, “you sound really pathetic and lame”, “broke ass window shopper”, “shut your lame ass up”, and last but not least “loser”. And now here you are, asking @theMBMarket to remove me like the Karen that you truly are. I just want you to see the hypocrisy in everything that you’ve said thus far mate, it’s seriously astonishing.
.
@aksharamin was outed for being the truest troll I’ve ever come across in my life and was embarrassed enough to go back and delete all of his comments. Who’s taking it personally now, Karen?? Haaaa
@aksharamin - a truly tragic irony. Take care.
@EJO8 .
@aksharamin - you’re projecting now and are only saying that because you have nothing better to say. You have provided nothing of actual substance and you’re only contributions are “don’t get butthurt”, “troll”, “#karen”, “LOL” - don’t you not understand?? YOU are the troll man.
@EJO8 .
@aksharamin - look, I’m not trying to argue with you man. Not having the money is not an ‘excuse’, it’s the fact of the matter. Congrats to you on your purchase of a really cool car! I wish I had the means to afford such a thing but I don’t. Is that what you want to hear? Does that make you feel better? Why does everyone feel the need to constantly belittle other people all the time? Isn’t it depressing? My original comment was made because the way this auction site functions is like nearly every single other successful auction website and for good reason. That’s a fact. Stop with the BS insults and hashtags and talk like a respectable person. @shhnoozy - you may be different but I would never bid on a car and extend myself financially to impress some random person online. If you think an auctions site’s goal is to offer bidders ‘good deals’, you’re completely unaware of their intent and truly have no understanding of how this all works.
@EJO8 .
@EJO8 - I don't care how old you are and how long you been watching these auctions sites. A auction site is an auction site and my hope is that the future auction sites get better from the flaws of others, which is the reason why others have been created based on the original guys like ebay's failure. This auction site was not created to drive Benz prices up it was a place where cars were curated for a certain audience and remove the noise of the big sites now face with trolls. I don't think any enthusiast ever says I want to go pay top dollar. I want to get a good deal is most folks mind set if on any auction site otherwise hit autotrader for and pay top dollar for a garage queen sitting who knows where. I hope to see you bidding soon!
@aksharamin - thanks. Will get the next one no doubt at AUCTION price. enjoy the c43 it's a great platform
Congratulations to both the highest bidder and seller for agreeing to a sale after the auction ended!
@aksharamin - you bought an 11k car and are acting as though you just bought a brand new Ferrari. Bragging about money is shallow man, we’re all going to die one day - you can’t take your money or possessions with you. I might have things you don’t i.e. my mental, emotional, and physical health. Or a loving family, a fulfilling job, greats friends, and the list goes on. But you don’t see me rubbing any of those things in your face like a child. Nice hashtag by the way - I think you’re actually younger than me.
@EJO8 I get that, I just think that making it a “secret” is pointless. If there was a minimum starting bid that would have the same effect. In my eyes the hidden reserve will demotivate buyers, I know I won’t be wasting my time in the future again, it was a learning experience!
@EJO8 .
@aksharamin - I have not, sadly. I’m a young buck and don’t have the money to buy such a cool car yet. One day. Is it a requirement that I buy a car to know what I’m talking about or something? From the looks of these comments, it seems quite the opposite. @shhnoozy - I have been watching auction sites from BaT, eBay, C&B, hemmings, Copart, etc. for years - this is how the majority of them operate. Again, there are plenty of reasons why - which is why I suggested you do some research. I don’t need to know you personally to know that you’re ill-informed. I don’t think anyone selling their car on this *Benz-specific* auction site is hoping to just sell at or close to market value..which is the primary reason they’d opt to list their car for sale on this relatively new site as opposed to other bigger & more established alternatives - hoping that true MB enthusiasts come here to bid higher on benz’s that deserve more than the typical BaT, C&B, or eBay bidder would bid otherwise. @Isimioni - it’s not “paying more than you have to”, the reserve is obviously there to protect the sellers asset from selling below market value. As is the case with any new auction site like MB Market - they don’t yet have as much traffic as other sites and this possibility is statistically greater. That will change eventually, of course.
@aksharamin appreciate your input!
.
@Kwoodwo why would I pay more than I have to? That defies common sense. That’s why I think “reserves” make no sense either! A starting bid would make everything a lot more simple!
@EJO8 I did say that this was my first time bidding, so yes I definitely don’t have any experience, hence my point! My intention is to give feedback on my experience bidding and not looking for anyone to blame!
@EJO8 have you bought a car through them before?
@Kwoodwo - why bid top dollar? I'm trying to get a deal here. I think that's the concept for auction....bidders getting value while sellers could potentially get more than open market. Thanks for sharing your bidding strategy! peace
Hey @EJO8 - thanks for the note but not lambasting the website, the seller could of done this on their end. I also would like to add why copy other websites? these are flaws many have spoke about in the past so please don't tell me to do some research not knowing me at all. Peace!
@shhnoozy @lsimioni You could have just bid your top dollar rather than bidding in increments of $250. I would argue your bidding strategy is the true waste of time.
To the two users below: Clearly, neither of you has any experience as to how an online auction works. Nearly every single online car auction website operates this way and for good reason. Maybe do a little research before lambasting a great auction site like MB Market. Just my two cents.
I agree to the no reserve. Why even let people bid only to lose and waste everyones time?!? waste of time for seller to repost + answer questions and all us car nuts to watch this thing go no where.
This was my first time bidding and I have to say I’m pretty disappointed. This whole reserve thing makes no sense to me, why not have a set lowest bidding number instead? Good luck y’all, I hope you drive the hell out of her!

The brake upgrade alone on this car isn’t cheap and looks fantastic behind the Carlssons. I wouldn’t mind the repaint either as most of the C43s I’ve come across all have clear coat failure to some degree. I owned one of these years ago and can honestly say it’s one of the best driving platforms. My only quarrel was the front wheel gap which was exaggerated from the factory. This one looks proper and seems to have a solid maintenance record as well. GLWS!
This things cool, same suspension I had on my C36- this has been making me miss that car.

@BamaBenz08 I don’t have any paperwork or documents from the accident. I reached out to the previous owners and still no reply. We’ve all assumed that 2015 was when the car was repainted
Great looking c43! I have a question regarding the "moderate damage" listed on the CarFax report in 2015. Is any documentation/information available regarding the damage and repair? Is assume this is around the time when the vehicle was resprayed to white? Any details available regarding the respray? Thanks!

@AMG63A5T no worries. Thanks for the info!
@lsimioni Unfortunately, I don't have anymore photos and I won't be with the car again until Tuesday. The engine is dry up top and bottom along with the engine shield/cover. Side note, the differential oil was replaced last week.
Thanks for the pictures of the underbody! Are you able to take a few close up pictures of the engine/transmission?

Glad to see more of these late 90's AMG's popping up. These need to be preserved by all means.
