Judging by all of your insults and threats, I think it’s fair to say that you’re the one who is offended..even though I have not once said anything offensive or derogatory towards you. My original comment was made because the way this auction site functions is like nearly every single other successful auction website and for good reason. That’s a fact. If you think an auctions site’s goal is to offer bidders ‘good deals’, you’re completely unaware of their intent and truly have no understanding of how this all works.

@EJO8 - I don't care how old you are and how long you been watching these auctions sites. A auction site is an auction site and my hope is that the future auction sites get better from the flaws of others, which is the reason why others have been created based on the original guys like ebay's failure. This auction site was not created to drive Benz prices up it was a place where cars were curated for a certain audience and remove the noise of the big sites now face with trolls. I don't think any enthusiast ever says I want to go pay top dollar. I want to get a good deal is most folks mind set if on any auction site otherwise hit autotrader for and pay top dollar for a garage queen sitting who knows where. I hope to see you bidding soon!

@aksharamin - you bought an 11k car and are acting as though you just bought a brand new Ferrari. Bragging about money is shallow man, we’re all going to die one day - you can’t take your money or possessions with you. I might have things you don’t i.e. my mental, emotional, and physical health. Or a loving family, a fulfilling job, greats friends, and the list goes on. But you don’t see me rubbing any of those things in your face like a child.  Nice hashtag by the way - I think you’re actually younger than me. 

@EJO8 I get that, I just think that making it a “secret” is pointless. If there was a minimum starting bid that would have the same effect. In my eyes the hidden reserve will demotivate buyers, I know I won’t be wasting my time in the future again, it was a learning experience!

@aksharamin - I have not, sadly. I’m a young buck and don’t have the money to buy such a cool car yet. One day. Is it a requirement that I buy a car to know what I’m talking about or something? From the looks of these comments, it seems quite the opposite.

@shhnoozy - I have been watching auction sites from BaT, eBay, C&B, hemmings, Copart, etc. for years - this is how the majority of them operate. Again, there are plenty of reasons why - which is why I suggested you do some research. I don’t need to know you personally to know that you’re ill-informed. I don’t think anyone selling their car on this *Benz-specific* auction site is hoping to just sell at or close to market value..which is the primary reason they’d opt to list their car for sale on this relatively new site as opposed to other bigger & more established alternatives - hoping that true MB enthusiasts come here to bid higher on benz’s that deserve more than the typical BaT, C&B, or eBay bidder would bid otherwise.

@Isimioni - it’s not “paying more than you have to”, the reserve is obviously there to protect the sellers asset from selling below market value. As is the case with any new auction site like MB Market - they don’t yet have as much traffic as other sites and this possibility is statistically greater. That will change eventually, of course.

@Kwoodwo  why would I pay more than I have to? That defies common sense. That’s why I think “reserves” make no sense either! A starting bid would make everything a lot more simple!

@EJO8 I did say that this was my first time bidding, so yes I definitely don’t have any experience, hence my point! 
My intention is to give feedback on my experience bidding and not looking for anyone to blame!

Hey @EJO8 - thanks for the note but not lambasting the website, the seller could of done this on their end.  I also would like to add why copy other websites? these are flaws many have spoke about in the past so please don't tell me to do some research not knowing me at all. Peace!

You could have just bid your top dollar rather than bidding in increments of $250. I would argue your bidding strategy is the true waste of time.

To the two users below:
Clearly, neither of you has any experience as to how an online auction works. Nearly every single online car auction website operates this way and for good reason. Maybe do a little research before lambasting a great auction site like MB Market. Just my two cents. 

I agree to the no reserve. Why even let people bid only to lose and waste everyones time?!?

This was my first time bidding and I have to say I’m pretty disappointed. This whole reserve thing makes no sense to me, why not have a set lowest bidding number instead? Good luck y’all, I hope you drive the hell out of her!

@TheDanMan Totally agree! Lots to enjoy about this one all things considered. 

The brake upgrade alone on this car isn’t cheap and looks fantastic behind the Carlssons. I wouldn’t mind the repaint either as most of the C43s I’ve come across all have clear coat failure to some degree. I owned one of these years ago and can honestly say it’s one of the best driving platforms. My only quarrel was the front wheel gap which was exaggerated from the factory. This one looks proper and seems to have a solid maintenance record as well. GLWS!

This things cool, same suspension I had on my C36- this has been making me miss that car. 

Ive never been a huge fan of these Carlsson wheels, but they look incredible on this thing....GLWA

I have a question regarding the "moderate damage" listed on the CarFax report in 2015. Is any documentation/information available regarding the damage and repair? Is assume this is around the time when the vehicle was resprayed to white? Any details available regarding the respray?
