This 2008 Mercedes-Benz CLK63 AMG Cabriolet was originally sold in New York with previous registrations noted in New Jersey and Florida with current registration shown in MInnesota. Finished in Iridium Silver Metallic (775) over Black Nappa Leather (811), power is provided by a hand-built 6.2-liter M156 V8 mated to a seven-speed AMG SpeedShift automatic transmission driving the rear wheels. Factory equipment includes a power soft top, Bi-Xenon headlamps with Active Curve Illumination, heated and ventilated front seats, COMAND with navigation, dual-zone automatic climate control and a Harman/Kardon surround sound system. All service records since new are included in the sale with most recent services including an oil service in the Spring of 2023. Now showing just 49k miles, this CLK63 AMG Cabriolet is now being offered for sale in Minnesota with both keys, the original manufacturer’s literature, a clean Carfax report and a clean Minnesota title in the seller’s name.
The body is finished in Iridium Silver Metallic (775) and features an electrohydraulic insulated soft top with a heated glass rear pane. AMG body styling consists of a sculpted front air dam with mesh intakes, side skirts, rear apron, trunk lid spoiler and dual polished chrome AMG exhaust tips. Exterior features include Bi-Xenon headlamps and front fog lamps with Active Curve Illumination, rain-sensing wipers, a mesh air deflector, and heated power-adjustable door mirrors with an auto-dimming driver side. The body shows no signs of damage or rust with no accidents or damage reports appearing on the Carfax.
Staggered 18” five-spoke AMG lightweight alloy wheels come wrapped in a set of Michelin tires measuring 225/45 up front and 255/35 rear. Silver painted 6-piston AMG calipers bite down on perforated discs mounted to the front axle with four-piston units mounted at the rear.
The AMG sport seats are trimmed in Black Nappa Leather (811) with matching black AMG floor mats and Burl Walnut wood trim which lines the center console and door panels. Both front seats are heated and ventilated with multicontour adjustment for the driver side. Additional interior appointments include dual-zone automatic climate control, rubber studded stainless steel pedals, AMG door sills, a power tilt/telescope steering column, a leather wrapped gear selector with an engine start/stop button, COMAND with navigation, a 12-speaker Harman/Kardon Logic7 surround sound system and a 6-disc CD changer. A variable trunk compartment provides partitioned cargo space when the soft top is folded down.
The four-spoke AMG steering wheel fronts black gauges including a 200-mph speedometer, an 8k-rpm tachometer and an analog clock. Digital instrumentation includes gauges for fuel level and coolant temperature, a configurable central display and a digital odometer which currently shows just 49k miles from new.
This A209 is powered by a hand-built 6.2-liter naturally-aspirated V8 which produces 475 horsepower and 465 lb-ft of torque. Power is sent to the rear wheels through an AMG SpeedShift seven-speed automatic transmission which can be controlled via aluminum paddle shifters mounted behind the steering wheel. Records showing regular servicing and maintenance since new are included in the sale and note various major services including plugs, transmission service, and differential. Most recently an oil service was performed in Spring of 2023.
The Carfax report shows four owners with registrations reported in New Jersey, Florida, and Minnesota along with linear mileage updates from new. The Carfax is free of any accidents or damage reports. This CLK63 AMG Cabriolet is now being offered for sale in Minnesota with both keys, the original manufacturer’s literature, a clean Carfax report and a clean Minnesota title in the seller’s name.

It sure would be nice to see some pics of the under carriage since north east climates are notorious for sever rust.

The car is located in storage at my lake home. Never driven in the winter. Brake rotors are bare metal and rust when washed by softened water. I’m sorry but No pics of underside, my word is that it is clean, that is all that I can offer you currently.
Photos of the underside? The rear brake discs Clearly show a goodly bit of rust, want to be certain the rest of the under body isn't similarly afflicted! Thank you:)
Completely stock. No modifications. Engine and transmission mounts original
Have the engine and transmission mounts been replaced? Has there been any suspension work done?

The center console sticky plate has been replaced since this photo and isn’t sticky anymore. The tires are Michelin pilot 4S and are 2019 rears and 2021 fronts. Original roof hydraulics. Front bumper has no damage except rock chips. Not able to photograph underneath as car is in storage at my lake home but no issues and never driven in the winter.
A handful of questions, if you don't mind: - Is the center vent control trim sticky? It may seem so on picture No. 37. - Could you please post more detailed photos of the condition of the front bumper? - Same with undercarriage photos, if possible. - Have the roof hydraulics been refreshed recently or are they still original? - Finally, what are the date codes on the tires? Thank you.
Most owners of the M156 engines have seen no failures, and the failure rate on these head bolts are <0.1% I let the engine fully warm up before driving it spirted which makes a huge difference on head gaskets and headbolts due to expansion from cold to hot.
@Porschefreak seller This car is equipped with a 6.2L M156 V8 and in the years MB had head bolt issues with this V8. Is there any information available showing this issue was previously addressed by repair?
