This 1975 Mercedes-Benz 450SL is finished in Astral Silver (735) over Medium Red (240) interior and powered by a 4.5-liter V8 paired with a three-speed automatic. The car is represented by a broker out of Richmond, Virginia on behalf of their client. The owner acquired the car in 2021 from a private party. This R107 SL shows 169k kilometers (~105k miles) on the original odometer and features electric front windows, automatic climate control, Tempomat Cruise Control, and a black fabric soft top. This roadster comes with a hardtop painted in Signal Red, a separate new soft top, two keys, the factory tool kit, manufacturer's literature, shop manual, spare parts and a clean Virginia title in the seller’s name.
The car is finished in Astral Silver (735) with a paint-matched cowl and AMG body kit featuring sculpted and stamped bumpers and side skirts. The paint shows well and the body presents rust under the drivers door, drivers side fenders, and along with the trunk floor pans. Features include European-market headlamps, fog lights, chrome mirror caps, and a black fabric soft top. A Signal Red hardtop also accompanies the car along with a new OEM soft top ready to be installed.
The car is fitted with silver-painted OEM 15” Gullideckel wheels with Michelin tires measuring 205/65 all around. The wheels show some flaws in the paint and feature original painted center caps.
The cabin is finished in Medium Red (240) with matching carpets, doors, and dashboard. Burl wood trim accents the center console and dash along with a wooden Nardi steering wheel. Features include electric front windows, automatic climate control, and Tempomat Cruise Control. An aftermarket head unit replaces the original Becker Europa in the dash and features auxiliary input. The seller states the A/C is currently inoperable.
The aftermarket Nardi wood steering wheel frames VDO instrumentation including a 160-mph speedometer, a 7k-rpm tachometer, and an analog clock. Additional auxiliary gauges include fuel level, oil pressure, and coolant temperature. The six-digit analog odometer now shows 169k kilometers (~105k miles).
The fuel-injected 4.5L SOHC V8 produced 180 horsepower and 220 lb-ft of torque when new. Power is routed to the rear wheels via a three-speed automatic transmission. The car reportedly runs and shifts well.
This roadster comes with a hardtop painted in Signal Red, a separate new soft top, two keys, the factory tool kit, manufacturer's literature, shop manual, spare parts and a clean Virginia title in the seller’s name.

$1,250 bid placed by @Trek1200
@jeffkraemer no there isn't a pic of that currently but I will do my best to get that uploaded. If you'd like to message me, I can probably send you the VIN.
Question to Seller: Is there a picture(s) of a door tag or VIN plate etc. that identifies the color code(s)? Thank you.

@Mganzle The car is currently drivable and was driven over 100 miles recently. However, for a long distance trip, I'd recommend trailering just in case
$750 bid placed by @MB8605
Question for the seller. Is this car currently drivable or will it need to be trailered?
@Emett7 you should you could get all those parts like euro headlights for cheap!
Dryice won’t fix that rust Great parts for a better 107 Gl I’m keeping a eye open
$500 bid placed by @JomyCo
I'm tempted to bid just for the parts alone. Euro headlights, full AMG kit, and Nardi wheel is what every R107 needs!
@NYCdriver if it’s the real deal, yes- very rare to find. Not to mention the color combo. Fortune will favor the bold who choose to revive this one.
Any statistics on how rare this AMG kit is? I feel like this isn’t a common occurrence
A little rough around the edges but could be a nice car. Rust underneath is substantial but maybe some dry ice would clean it up.
