@morgej I do not have one so I will see if my dealer can help me out. I know MonroneyLabels.com generates window sticker’s for cars but they usually are not accurate. But when I used the car brochure for this car and year and added up the options myself it got to 140k+. So that’s that.
@E55SpaceshipYes it does because over the years almost all of the cars I have purchased from CarMax have been modified with things like catless downpipes, intakes, ecu tune, etc and they have never batter an eye at repairs. So no worries there.
@Baron0456Yes, don’t worry the warranty is transferable.
Just want to mention that the car has 4 brand new tires as well.
@mcm1997 They don't always request that and if they do it is often times because they are so backed up that they'd rather have people go elsewhere if they can. Most of their cars in the service department are their under the 90 day warranty which they offer for free on every car. Your issue was just your dealer being a pain. That of course can happen but the dealer still has to fix it. The CarMax warranties use all the major national labor guides and if a dealer doesn't want to listen well then they are just being stubborn and need to get themselves together. Also, Doug actually addressed in a video that he never really felt that he got special treatment from CarMax because often times he didn't even get noticed since this was a few years ago when he had his L322 Range Rover from them.
@here4thtimesI do, I have owned multiple 12 cylinder german cars from CarMax, a V10 M6, Range Rover Autobiography Black, just to name a few etc and I have never had an issue with the warranty. Its 100% the best used car warranty in the game and in my experience is even better than buying a certified (CPO) vehicle as well. Doug Demuro backs CarMax as well as I am sure you all know.
@Iamtheeggmanyes, there is a spare and the tools to put the spare on as well.
@Mrmaximusyes, there is a reserve. I do not know if the buyer will be charged still if the reserve is not met.
@AriBKlet’s all be nice here guys. 😁👍
@Anesicolaciit’s a secret since it is a very rare and obscure car. Sorry, but I would like to keep info on the car private. I’m sure you can understand. I would’ve kept this car otherwise for the full 5 years and most likely used it as a daily driver. I can’t say enough good things about the CarMax Maxcare warranty. I have owned an Audi W12, Alpina B7, BMW M6, Range Rover Autobiography Black, and more, etc and between all those cars I have never had an issue when it came to covering repairs. The largest single repair bill I can remember was $12,000 on my BMW M6 that had the V10.
@obscurecarguyI have always been more of a fan of the 65 AMG coupes vs the sedans or roadsters! Coupes had the higher MSRP as well. This car was around $235k back in 2014. For people who don’t know, Mercedes Benz and AMG released the 6.0 V12 biturbo motor in the 2004 CL65 first. It was the first car to wear the ‘65’ designation.
@AnesicolaciRear tires are brand new and the front tires have more than 75% tread left.
The brakes were all done around 5,000 miles ago at Mercedes Benz of Encino, California. Spark plugs were done right around the same time as well at the same dealer along with air filter replacement. An oil change was recently done around 500 miles ago. Car has up to date maintenance and if any other issues ever do arise then those would be addressed through the CarMax warranty.
@RapriWarranty will expire in October 2026.
@RapriThe first owner was in California, he sold it to CarMax, and then I bought it from CarMax. It just has not reported yet. Car is in Kentucky and it has a Kentucky title.
@IamtheeggmanI am not the first owner but there is zero smoke odor.
@YoungclassicamgThanks! Good luck on your Renntech CLS!
@glennelrodEven if they weren’t, coilpacks are covered by the CarMax warranty anyway. So need to worry.
@glennelrodYes, they have been replaced.
@henryrBecause I came across a different car. Otherwise, I would keep this CL65 for the full 5 years under the CarMax warranty.
@AriBK Car is very clean and was in California it’s whole life. It has already had a lot of the major services done. Even the transmission was replaced. Check the Carfax report. Yes, the infotainment screen is operable and if it wasn’t then it would be fixed under the CarMax warranty.
@AriBKThe photos you requested have been added. Let me know if there are any more photos you'd like.
@Vlad600selThe warranty covers everything besides consumables such as tires, brakes, wiper blades, etc. Yes, CarMax sells the warranty but only on cars that you buy from them. It is called the “MaxCare” warranty and it cannot be purchased privately. In my experience, it is even better than CPO warranties. - https://youtu.be/FvJCCoLoKRA
@Sergey It is an M275 AMG with updates to make the horsepower go from 604hp to 621hp. The horsepower is the same as the M279 AMG motor cars. 621hp.
@AriBK Pictures will be uploaded soon.
@AutocratYes, the warranty will expire in 5 years.
