Any record of the engine's wiring harness being replaced? If not, prospective bidders should factor in ~$1k for the part (available at FCP Euro & other vendors) plus labor (or DIY time).
@UI_Classics - Did you import the car? Any records from its time in Switzerland?
Was going to bid but forgot to set an alarm - @mfiorillo got a good deal.
Coincidentally, I sold my '99 S320 (black, but similar miles and condition) to my brother a couple years ago for $4500 - family discount :)
Thinking about taking the Acela up and driving home.
Is the seller willing to meet the buyer at either New Haven Union Station or Hartford Union Station?
Can you provide a temp tag for an out-of-state buyer?
Also, CarFax indicates a MB dealer did a maintenance inspection in June 2022 - was any diagnosis of the SRS error provided?
Is the engine an OM616.936, rated at 71 hp? What's the approximate 0-60 and top speed? Also, do you know the curb weight?
FYI: Mercedes stopped making the OM616 engines in the 1980s, but they are still being manufactured under license in India by Force Motors. Since this is a 1992, it must have an India-sourced engine. Still a neat off roader, but something for the MB purists to consider.
