I currently own this same car (black on black 2007 - 3rd row) and it is absolutely fantastic. The fit and finish of the interior is solid after 16+ years. It has Clark Kent mannerisms around town, but get it out on the freeway and it becomes an intimidating monster. Power seems very linear, and the speedometer seems to validate it. Maintenance wise, I find this car to be relatively easy to work on. The engine bay is laid out like a 1970s muscle car, so easy to get to key components. I have completed a host of tasks in the past year and nothing has been too difficult yet. While everyone wants to talk about head bolts in nearly every single auction/forum on the planet, the real weak spots with these motors are the cam adjusters. My car had the passenger side intake adjuster start to rattle at about 126K, so I rebuilt them all with an upgrade kit from 63 Motorsports. It was a big cost savings over replacing the entire unit, and they should stay solid for a very long time. This car, in my opinion, is right in the sweet spot: the right mileage, super clean, and well cared for by the owner. I paid top dollar for mine in 2022, and it is still worth every penny. Bid with confidence, you will be happy with it.
This is the only MB that can knock the M156 AMG wagon off their thrones. A fantastic example.
As a fellow 2007 E63 AMG Wagon owner, this one is excellent. Well optioned, awesome two piece wheels, and proper maintenance. The mileage is in the sweet spot: Well below 100K, however enough mileage to ensure the car has been driven properly over its lifetime of many owners. I agree that the head bolt topic isn't a very broad concern at all. My car has 123K and I do regular Oil Analysis at intervals to check for contamination. My recommendation to the seller is to have the cats re-installed. Most regions of the US having some requirements for emissions, it may be a deterrent to have such as well sorted, desirable car without those installed. It also would confirm that the included cats are in good shape and do not cause any MIL issues. Good luck with the sale!
