Big number, but a great car. Glad it did well here. This site is really doing a great job.
@MBCollector Wow. This is a lot of car for $38k. Congrats on the win and acquiring this beauty!

@Stmzilla yes the car is registered in PA. There is no emission testing in my county. Cats can be re-installed for a little extra. Exhaust work and tune was done by AMS autowerks in Linden NJ, Diego has been working on all my cars for the past 25 years including all the e30 M3s I had, w124 e500s, Brabus R129, w140s, GLA45 AMG, etc. Since the auction ends tomorrow and if you are the winning bidder, you are welcome to look at it over the weekend, let me know if you have any other questions
I forgot to mention that I also replaced rear tail gate electronic lock mechanism few month ago, it was around $500 with labor if not more, I have to find the invoice, so that part is also brand new!

@RufYellowBird - I am assuming the car is located and currently registered in PA, since the Ad shows the location as Southampton, Pennsylvania? Is the car currently PA inspected/emissions tested for 2022, when are these good until? I am wondering because you have the CATS removed and thinking I would want them back on? Who performed the removal and ECU tuning? Thinking it will need to be retuned if the CATS are reinstalled. I actually live local/fairly close by. Would I be able to schedule to come see it in person over the weekend?

@mans442 thank you for your input! The stock cats can be re-installed for a little extra if the new owner wishes to, and they are in excellent condition...until then - https://youtube.com/shorts/v4hy3HqEzJI?feature=share
As a fellow 2007 E63 AMG Wagon owner, this one is excellent. Well optioned, awesome two piece wheels, and proper maintenance. The mileage is in the sweet spot: Well below 100K, however enough mileage to ensure the car has been driven properly over its lifetime of many owners. I agree that the head bolt topic isn't a very broad concern at all. My car has 123K and I do regular Oil Analysis at intervals to check for contamination. My recommendation to the seller is to have the cats re-installed. Most regions of the US having some requirements for emissions, it may be a deterrent to have such as well sorted, desirable car without those installed. It also would confirm that the included cats are in good shape and do not cause any MIL issues. Good luck with the sale!

@gollihers not sure about emissions, there are none where I live, if you are concerned about it, stock cats are included in the auction. The car is not loud at all when you just cruise, I'd say on a scale of 1 to 10 maybe 3
@cm3esquire I would say that for the next few years you will only have to do oil changes, everything else has been done/replaced on this wagon, $10k in maintenance done last year, just drive and enjoy it
What’s the average annual maintenance cost on a wagon like this? I’ve got stock S and E classes, so I shutter to think what an AMG would run 😂😂😂
Will this E63 pass emission testing in your area? Why is the check engine light not showing when the cats are removed? On a scale of 1-10 (10 the loudest), how would you rate the engine sound level when cruising at 80 mph?
Thank you for that. Getting an idea on shipping back to the west coast.
@anomadtoo the wagon was shipped from CA to PA in an enclosed trailer by Plycar Automotive Logistics (310) 419- 1200
@anomadtoo yes, everything functions as it should including the steering wheel controls etc.. everything works on this car, it's in amazing shape, spent $10k in documented maintenance just last year
Thank you for calling out the android unit and you have a backup camera. Did the steering wheel controls maintain to control all radio functions? With that, do all oem vehicle controls function as they are supposed to? The seat bolster inflators, all interior controls, etc. thank you!

@RufYellowBird Thank you! Please tell if it's intergrated with the existing stereo system? Also could you please remember the model? I'd like to install something similar for my CLS W219. Currently I have an aftermarket 7" unit, but I'd like to have bigger screen.
@Sergey it's the 9" android unit hooked up to the rear view camera, has all the options and mirrors your cell phone, I'm extremely happy with it, made to fit w211, got it from amazon
@alex831213 thanks! I didn't want third row, I wanted spare tire for the peace of mind. Also, I have over $10k in documented receipts just within last year! This in addition to all the other stuff on the car (clear bra, ceramic coat, p030 AMGs, michelins etc.. ) No way you can find e63 wagon in this conditions that cheap ;)
Hey, folks. I tried to search here, but didn't find any info about its current head unit. I'd like to know what's the name of the mark and model and what is the mounting frame. It looks like it's 10" or at least 9". Thanks.
I hate this car cus of maintenance costs personally. This one looks to be one of the best maintained examples though. If Toyota made a GS-F wagon with 3rd row or a GR Sienna, I would sell mine in a heartbeat.
Calling this at between 30k to 35k. Comparable mileage ones I estimate at 40k, but then this one has neither third row or its headbolts done. I know the chances of it happening are slim to none but the consequences of when it does is almost unsurvivable so potential buyers want that peace of mind. Very well maintained and nice upgrades though. Hope I'm proven wrong though since I own one too, good luck.
@BuzzardsBay1 to be honest, if you drive it in normal mode (not manual) just cruising etc it behaves 'almost' like stock so your wife may not even notice it
@RufYellowBird thanks, not sure my wife will love it, but I can always take it to Bren if need be
@BuzzardsBay1 it's the result of both, I love it, its so addictive
@RufYellowBird Do you know if there was a "crackle pop" element to the tune that was done on the car or if its just a result of the down-pipe/ exhaust set up?
@amgpro you own six of these, you know the game, these wagons ,as rare as they are, come in different condition with different mileage and different service history, you pay less for the average ones (only to pay more in maintenance later on) or you pay more initially and get the best one you can find. There are not too many clean, maintained w211 e63 wagons left. Simple as that. It's just that easy. You get what you pay for, no miracles
@wrenching good question. Experience has me confident enough to stay away from this one. Good luck to all. -I'm out.
@RufYellowBird woo-boy! Where to start with this one? This might be a good place for you to start: https://twitter.com/DougDeMuro/status/1545007821116293120 I can't help you beyond that. Not explaining reality to strangers on the Internet. Good luck to you! All the best.
@wrenching @amgpro cooling market? I do not see the prices go down on e30 M3s, Porsche 964s or Mercedes Gullwings, Ferrari F40s or Toyota Supras MKIIs. This wagon is a lot more rare than any of those, especially in this condition, so what cooling market are you talking about?
@anomadtoo yes, it was shipped from Cali in an enclosed trailer, I will try to get you the shippers info
@amgpro so is seller more realistic with a cooling market, or are we going to see RNM at <=$34k?

Did you have it shipped to PA? If so, by who? Thanks!
@herrmabh thank you, this wagon is indeed super clean with documented maintenance and some really nice, expensive extras. It took me over 3 years to find the right w211 e63 wagon but due to the super hectic work schedule I'm not driving it at all, I've already sold my w124 e500 and Brabus R129 SL so this one is next and I already know I will miss it :(

What a great wagon - one of the best I have seen. May the new owner drive it in good health.
@amgpro Thanks. Not a dealer. Just a fast wagon addict ;) haha.
@ariotofmyown glad you've had good luck with your SIX wagons (wow!). I've had one and it cost me significantly to fix. Great point on camshaft position sensors. A search on your username -it looks like you're a dealer (?) Thanks all. @Seller any ideas on if this would pass a smog/emissions test with current exhaust set up? more homework on this one here: https://bringatrailer.com/listing/2007-mercedes-benz-e63-amg-48/
@amgpro @RufYellowBird (This is actually an M156, not an M157). I've made this comment before on other W211 E63 postings but I'll repeat it here because I think its relevant: In my experience, I think the head bolt issue is entirely too overblown. I've personally owned six of these E63 wagons (2007-2009) and none have ever had head bolt issues. These cars ranged from very low mile examples (20k) to 150k+ miles and never once were head bolts a problem (and none were ever replaced). Frankly, I had more issues with other things like camshaft position sensors, etc. but that's all relatively manageable stuff. With such a small percentage of cars being impacted by backing-out or failing head bolts, I personally don't see it as a necessary predicate to ownership or an absolute imperative to fix following acquisition. Good for peace of mind, perhaps... but the percentage of failure is just too small, all things considered. Again, this is just my opinion based on my ownership experiences - and some may differ than mine - but wanted to throw my .02 in there. Good luck with the auction...this one looks really killer 😎
@RufYellowBird Thank you for the reply. -Interesting. I'm in So Cal - very familiar with the weather and the impact on M156 engine. Unknown Headbolt status should be a concern to any potential buyer. Again, I'm further down the path with this set up and years of ownership behind me. A lot of money spent and lessons learned so HMU with any specific questions. Happy to help and best of luck to all! (I've got almost the exact same setup all the way down to the V1 installed and the interior lighting!)
@amgpro Thanks! There was no need to do the headbolts, relatively low mileage, car lived in Cali and AZ most of its life so no cold weather starts or winter driving, religious routine maintanence - motor is running silky smooth without any issues. This particular wagon is really in outstanding shape both cosmetically and mechanically!
Cool car. I like the customizations. I have an 08 W211 E63 in my current AMG lineup. I fix one thing on the E63/M157, -something else breaks. Buyer beware. It's a non-stop battle to maintain this car properly. HMU if you want more specifics. Make sure you are crystal clear and know what you're getting into with one of these. (Hoovie gave up on his, if I'm not mistaken) Seller - May we please have the status of the headbolts? Good luck with the sale!
