@amgmb - looks like you are the wheel guy. I specifically need a set of 16 or 17" Guillideckel or Gullideckel like whees for my W126. Any more coming upon this auction site?
I guess that blue 420SEL was a pretty good deal
I just watched the cold start video. I'm in Phoenix and am really jealous of your morning temps. I noticed that after the car was started the RPM went up and down a couple times then the camera cut away. This is often the sign of a vacuum leak. please comment. Thank you.
Please comment on some typical items that wear on these beautiful older W126: Have the timing chains and chain ramps been replaced? Do the vacuum actuators that operate the HVAC doors still function properly? Have they been replaced? Do the vacuum actuated door locks all work properly? AC blow cold? I look forward to your responses. And hopefully a cold start video. Thank you
If the seller was serious he/she would answer questions. Seems an incredibly well preserved example.
Gonna be fun
@2nd_Chance_SteelDo message seller communications go to you? Still haven't heard a reply.
@2nd_Chance_Steel. I sent an email through the Message Seller button but haven't received a reply. Am i dealing with the family selling the car or an agent or a dealer? Thank you
Seller, is this car road trip ready? I'd drive this to Wisconsin then home instead of the plane ticket and rental i've received. Can it be stored until early June? Thank you
@Houston300SD I too am curious about the questions from Bnzowner . Looking forward to your reply. Beautiful car. Thank you
@BenzkidDate codes not necessary knowing they are more than 10 years old. Unless you find they are two years old. Thank you
Gorgeous car. A couple questions: Does every little function work properly? How old are the tires? Please provide tire date codes. Thank you
Seller, receipts show mileage of 169xxx since 2015, maybe earlier. Was it driven regularly since then? Care to estimate miles per year?
Seller, can you tell us oil consumption? i noticed it was mentioned in an older receipt. Thank you
@GayatriI’m specifically interested in the age of the tires, not the appearance. Are the brand new? That would be great. But 10 year old tires that look new are dangerous. Thank you
@road2W140 Wouldn't that 4L be amazing but, alas, it's only half that and barely enough power to get out of it's own way but still super cool
@Gayatri, Can you tell us the age of the tires? Perhaps the date codes? Thank you
@Gayatri Is this a private party transaction or dealer transaction? BTW, this is a very cool car
"so there has never been a need for heat..." I found that comment entertaining. I live in Phoenix and know that it isn't always 110+ degrees. I don't know of a reason for bypassing cabin heat except for a leaking heater core. It's a super simple test - hook the heater back up.
2nd_chance_steel. Thank you for the reply. I read through the listing and missed the date code statement. Thanks again
2nd_Chance_Steel, 1) you mentioned that the tires are older. Please list the date codes. 2) Does the AC keep up with the hot summer weather? Thank you
Does this car have the Sensortronic Brake system? Thank you
@AMGMB, Will these fit my '07 E320?
I flew to San Diego and drove home in a 2007 E320. Adam @socaltires picked me up at the airport and we swapped $$$ for title. I was on my way. Adam was a dream to work with and this car is mint. Looks and feels brandy new. I def got the better end of the deal. 30MPG at 80MPH isn't too bad.
@Bid2own I agree. i could have kept going but unanswered questions slow me down. I think the winner got a very decent deal if everything works.
@adampadla. Gorgeous car. Just a couple of questions. i apologize in advance if these were answered but i didn't find the info. Does the AC work as it should - Nice and cold? All the climate controls function correctly? Age of tires? Not tread condition but actual age. Thank you
steel, pics 79 and 80 show the back seat. It looks like the padding is gone. Correct? Is the leather good? Please comment. Thank you
Seller, it is interesting that this car covered less than 500 miles between 2009 and 2020. Do you know the back story? Thank you
