Pic#31 also shows the swirl marks on both the hood and bumper. Needs to be polished properly.
@stanbrooks: I can see the swirl marks/zebra striping on the hood clear as day in Pic #8 & #14. Those opaque whiteish lines, those are swirl marks/zebra striping from Cut/buff/polishing. Trust me, if I can see them in those pictures, they are there. They are clear as the day is long. Just saying. It's not easy to properly buff and polish black cars. But if you paid for paint work and the body shop did that, I'd want it properly detailed by them. Not a showstopper by any means, but they are present.
@stanbrooks - in you final photos, you show an invoice for body and paint work to the front end. What were the damages that warranted this work? It shows R/R/I work… we’re the hood and fenders actually painted as a result, and were they painted off the body and was the paint blended into the doors? Was the front bumper repaired or replaced. If replaced, is the bumper and associated replace parts OEM? Regardless , the paint work and buffing looks pretty snotty, especially the zebra stripping swirls on the hood. Please elaborate if possible. Thank you.
@ryankey, we are talking an engine buddy. Can always make the swap.
Again, it nice, but not that nice. You can buy these wagons with under 100k miles all day long for under $9k. The body kit OEM is under $3k. Throw on some wheels and an exhaust, and there you have it.
@NEluxary, I dont disagree with you on the body kit and exhaust, but at 112k+ miles, its hard to put up that kind of cash when you know things are bound to be needing work soon.
Goodluck guys! I really wanted this one, but afraid not willing to spend 15k+ on an 2005 E500 wagon with +112k miles. Can build it cheaper with another wagon. Happy bidding.
@Umar4401: Where is "KING KHAN"? Thought you wanted people to take you on? LOL!!
@NEluxury: PM'ed you with a couple to questions on potential shipping/delivery logistics, when you are able to respond. Thank you.
@CICBarkeep, thanks for the link!
@RufYellowBird - I am assuming the car is located and currently registered in PA, since the Ad shows the location as Southampton, Pennsylvania? Is the car currently PA inspected/emissions tested for 2022, when are these good until? I am wondering because you have the CATS removed and thinking I would want them back on? Who performed the removal and ECU tuning? Thinking it will need to be retuned if the CATS are reinstalled. I actually live local/fairly close by. Would I be able to schedule to come see it in person over the weekend?
Anyone have an idea on what it will cost to replace the rubber boots/gaskets between the front doors and the mirrors? Looks like both need replacing asap.
Sent seller message with some specific questions. Looking forward to feedback. Thank you!!
WAAAAAY to much $$$ for this car!! Crazy.
Wow! I'd really love to get back in on this, but I am afraid there is nothing left in tit for resale over time w/ the 71k on it and needing to get it back to the Northeast. Goos luck in the final few minute's guys!!
Hey BlueridgeMB... Love see you guys out in front on this beautiful Hammer and hope you guys pull the winning bid. Also hope to come visit you guys one day!
Hopefully this bid of $7k will work this time?
