This set of wooden tray tables are finished in Burl Wood and are designed to fit all W140 models. Offered by Carat Duchatelet, these rear tray tables were an optional upgrade offered from their catalog. The tray tables remain in original condition with some cracks showing in the veneer. The tables are mounted to the back of the front seats and fold flat when not in use. These authentic Carat Duchatelet tray tables are now offered by the seller in Beirut, Lebanon with worldwide shipping options available.
The wooden tray tables are made to fit flush to the back of both front seats and can be stowed away when not in use. The tray tables fold out and feature an inset grab handle. The seller notes both tray tables are in original condition with normal signs of use. The exterior wood veneer covers show cracks and minor fading.
The tops of the tables once folded down show no signs of fading or cracks. Metal hinges allow for the table to fold flat when not in use.
A video showing the tray tables are provided below.
The MB Market Insights
We’re extremely fond of the pre-merger AMG days where you could simply pick and choose the items you wanted for your Mercedes-Benz from a catalog filled with everything from steering wheels to complete engine overhauls. AMG wasn't the only tuner offering a-la-carte upgrades. Carat Duchatelet was another major player of the era offering extensive add-ons for both the exterior and interior for top of the line Mercedes. Their primary objective was improving upon the already elite luxury and exclusivity that came with S-class ownership. These tray tables were just one of those improvements, designed for rear passengers who may find some form of productivity while being chauffeured to their next destination. In other instances, these were selected for the sheer beauty it added to the vehicle as you can never have enough burl wood in a classic Mercedes. Today you're more likely to see these tray tables open in the backseat of a LWB W140 with a nice bottle of scotch displayed at the next Cars and Coffee. Regardless of the use, it's a lowkey flex to have these installed on any W140.
