This 1995 Mercedes-Benz E280 AMG Limited is reportedly one of 50 examples produced as “dealer-ready” examples for the Japanese market by AMG Japan. The car is finished in Brilliant Silver Metallic (744) over Anthracite (271) leather and is powered by a 2.8-liter inline-6 paired with a four-speed automatic transmission. Upgrades performed by AMG include AMG ground effects with fender flares, AMG suspension, 17” AMG BBS Aero II RT wheels, AMG exhaust, AMG door sills, an AMG gauge cluster and an AMG insignia in the ashtray veneer. Additional factory equipment includes a sunroof, power-adjustable and heated front Recaro sport seats, rear Recaro sport seats, automatic climate control, burl wood trim, and a Pioneer head unit. Recent service by the selling dealer includes an oil service and new oil pressure sender. This W124 spent its life in Japan until being imported by the selling dealer in 2022. It now shows 84,570 kilometers (~52k miles) and is offered in Florida with manufacturer’s literature, Japanese inspection and service records, and a clean Florida title.
The car is finished in Brilliant Silver Metallic (744) and features a stamped pre-merger AMG bodykit including fender flares and AMG badging on the bottom of the front lip. Other features include a sunroof, headlight wipers, asymmetrical side mirrors, a power antenna, and a panoramic windshield wiper. Detailed photos of various trim pieces, marker lamps, and glass can be seen in the gallery below. The rear glass shows original AMG and AMG Japan decals in the bottom left corner. Paint meter readings are included by the selling dealer and indicate previous paintwork on the roof.
The car wears 17” AMG BBS Aero II RT Multi-piece wheels original to the Limited models. The AMG wheels are wrapped in Pirelli P-Zero Nero tires measuring 225/45 on all four corners. The car retains its original AMG exhaust and AMG-tuned suspension.
The cabin features factory Recaro sport seats surfaces covered in Anthracite leather (271) with matching door panels, carpets, and AMG-branded floor mats. The ashtray shows AMG badging original to the Limited examples. Amenities include burl wood veneer accents, power-adjustable and heated front seats with driver’s position memory, automatic climate control, cruise control, and a Pioneer head unit.
A leather-wrapped steering wheel frames a 360-kph AMG speedometer and a tachometer with a 6800-rpm redline along with gauges for coolant temperature, oil pressure, and fuel level. The six-digit odometer shows 84,570 kilometers (~52k miles).
The original 2.8-liter M104 inline-6 was rated at 190 horsepower and 199 lb-ft of torque when new. Power is sent to the rear wheels through a four-speed automatic transmission. Recent service by the selling dealer includes an oil service and new oil pressure sender.
A Carfax report accompanies this car showing history starting at importation to the United States in August 2022. This 1995 Mercedes-Benz E280 AMG Limited is offered in Florida with manufacturer’s literature, Japanese inspection and service records, and a clean Florida title. Photos of reh underbody and suspension are viewable below.

Link to datacard below. Odd set of options on this car, it has the Sport steering wheel and Sport front seats only, but no Sports undercarriage (and no complete Sportline package). No memory seats or headlight washers, but it has heated seats! Looks fantastic with the AMG body kit. And the 3.06 gearing on the Japan version will make it more lively around town than the taller 2.65 gears used on the USA-spec 124.028 chassis. https://www.lastvin.com/vin/az1nGEy198GExv67l

Additional photos of the exhaust system have been added to the gallery. Thank you.
We have uploaded two additional pictures of the area being questioned below. Two pictures show no damage just normal wear and tear.

@scotialobster Good Morning, I assume you are referring to the scratches and minor dent on the muffler underside. The minor damage is there but has not affected the exhaust system or the vehicles performance. Vehicle is in overall excellent original condition. Let us know what additional questions you might have.
$10,000 bid placed by @AMGguy
@scotialobster Thank you for your interest. Please reach out to us directly. We would be happy to schedule a video call to go over the entire vehicle including the underside.
What’s going on at 5;07 in the video? Does that need to be replaced? Thanks serious buyer
The AMG wheels alone are worth the price of admission. Good luck with the auction!
Welcome and good luck to all interested parties. This is a very special all original example recently imported and ready for a new home. Please message us or contact us with any additional questions or to come by and take a look at the car before the auction closes.
