This 2008 Mercedes-Benz E63 AMG wagon is finished in Pewter/Cubanite Metallic (723) over Cashmere/Amaretta (854) AMG Premium Nappa leather and is powered by a 6.2-liter V8 paired with a seven-speed AMG Speedshift automatic transmission with “Manual Mode”. It was previously listed on The MB Market and it was sold to the current owner in a post-auction transaction. Equipment includes Premium II Package, 18″ AMG wheels, AMG 10-way power adjustable heated and active-ventilated front seats w/position memory, COMAND with DVD navigation, bi-xenon headlamps w/active curvelight, cornering foglamps, Keyless-Go, optional Burl Walnut (W60) interior trim, third row seating and much more. This AMG station wagon was originally sold new by Napleton’s Autowerk’s in Loves Park, IL on November 2nd, 2007 for $94,530 with options according to the original window sticker. The vehicle remained with the original owner until October 2013 whereupon it resided in California and Arizona. Recent service includes new engine mounts, new front wheel bearings & hubs, new idler pulley, new valve cover gaskets and a reseal of the lower engine oil pan. Now showing 106k miles, this E63 AMG wagon is offered for sale in Maine with the original window sticker, two keys, service records, dealer repair order history, owner’s manuals, factory dealer sales brochures and dealer advertising materials, OEM Mercedes-Benz Large Roofbox, Whispbar low-profile roof crossbars, a clean Carfax report, and a clean Maine title.
A total of only 153 E63 AMG wagons were reportedly delivered to the US during three years of production, with only 62 total examples produced in the 2008 model year. This specific wagon is one of only five total examples ever produced from 2007-09 in Pewter/Cubanite Metallic (723) over Cashmere/Amaretta (854) leather interior. To differentiate the E63 AMG from a standard W211, the wagon is dressed in AMG Aerodynamic bodywork that includes AMG-specific bumpers, side-skirts and AMG-specific badging on the rear tailgate and both front fenders. The wagon is further equipped with an AMG sport exhaust system with w/dual twin chrome exhaust outlets in the rear. Additional equipment on this example includes a glass sunroof w/tilt & One-touch open/close, cornering fog lights w/chrome bezels, headlamp washing system, and bi-xenon headlamps with active curve-light illumination.
Silver 18″ AMG 5-spoke alloy wheels w/Titanium Gray painted spokes measure 18 x 8.5" in the front and 18 x 9" in the rear. All four tires wear Michelin Pilot Sport A/S 3 tires measuring 245/40 in the front and 265/35 out back. The car is equipped with an Adaptive Damping System and a self-leveling Airmatic suspension which can be raised or lowered 2+ inches from inside the cabin. Receipts viewable in the gallery show that both front air struts were replaced approximately 1,000 miles ago and that the system operates as intended. The leak-free Airmatic suspension reportedly does not settle or drop during extended parking periods. The suspension can be further tuned to Sport 1 or Sport 2 settings which lowers the car between .6 and .8 inches while stiffening the suspension and steering for spirited driving.
Braking is handled by an AMG high performance compound braking system that features 6-piston AMG calipers in the front and 4-piston AMG calipers in the rear. All four rotors are cross-drilled and measure 14.2” up front and 13” in the rear. The rear brake rotors, rear brake pads, and front brake pads were replaced at 82,000 miles and a measurement of the pad condition from 105k miles is viewable in the gallery.
The cabin is upholstered in Cashmere/Amaretta (854) AMG Premium Nappa leather with matching Alcantara accents in the seat shoulders, optional Burl Wood trim on the dash, doors, shifter and center console, and a designo Alcantara headliner in matching cashmere. Interior amenities include AMG Entrance plates on the door sills, Keyless-Go, AMG 10-way power adjustable heated and active-ventilated front seats w/position memory, keyless entry with push-button start, split-folding second row seats, left & right rear door sun blinds, factory Bluetooth telephone, Bluetooth music streaming, 6-disc CD changer, Harmon Kardon Logic7 Digital Surround system, Sirius Satellite Radio, ipod integration kit w/Bluetooth streaming via the factory controls, COMAND w/navigation, Aluminum AMG performance pedals, heated screen washer system, heated rear glass, automatic/power-operated cargo cover, retractable cargo net/dog barrier, power rear liftgate, a rear-facing third-row bench seat and four-zone automatic climate control. The original AMG Cashmere carpeted floor mats as well as OEM all-weather rubber “Hexmats” are included with the sale. The seller reports that the plastic handle that unlocks the rear folding seats is cracked but operable.
The multi-function AMG Performance steering wheel with dual aluminum shift paddles fronts factory AMG instrumentation including a racetimer, analog clock, a 200-mph speedometer, an 8k-rpm tachometer, and digital gauges for fuel level and coolant temperature. The dashboard houses the climate controls, an infotainment screen, a 6-disc CD changer, a pop-out storage cubby, and a lockable glove box. The digital odometer shows approximately 106k miles since new.
The cargo area includes the through-loading feature with a split-folding second row bench that can be accessed via a power tailgate and contains a fold-down rear-facing bench seat with cup holders, automatic/power-operated cargo cover, and retractable cargo net/pet barrier. This example also includes a matching, OEM Mercedes-Benz Roofbox (w/two keys) and a set of rare, no-longer-manufactured "whispbar" low-profile roof crossbars specific to the W211 wagon. A set of pads for the crossbars are also included for those who wish to mount a kayak or other similar-such cargo to the roof of the AMG wagon. Photos of the OEM Mercedes-Benz Roofbox can be seen in the prior listing.
The 6.2-liter naturally-aspirated M156 V8 developed 507 horsepower and 465 lb-ft of torque when new. The hand built AMG engine is covered in an AMG-exclusive airbox showing the signature of the single-engine maker emblazoned on a plaque at the center of the airbox. Power is sent to the rear wheels via a seven-speed 7G-Tronic AMG Speedshift automatic transmission w/manual mode. The transmission can be shifted manually via the shifter assembly in the console or the aluminum paddles on the AMG Performance steering wheel. Recent service includes new engine mounts, transmission mounts, and a new fuel pump assembly, housing and seal(s). In addition to paper service records, a dealer repair order history from Napleton Auto Werks is viewable in the gallery and shows the detail on every dealer service visit for the E63 from new to 2013.
The Carfax report shows no accidents or other damage, linear mileage updates, extensive dealer service history and lists registration history in Illinois, California, and Arizona. This example is now being offered with all factory books & literature, original dealer brochures and other print advertising materials, partial service records, a dealer repair order history, the original window sticker, OEM Mercedes-Benz Large Roof Box Carrier, low-profile crossbars, OEM all-weather rubber “Hex-Mats”, and a clean Maine title.

Definitely NOT a psychic @KingKitty ha ha. Better yet, the seller enjoyed this machine for 2-3 years + 8K miles and the car barely depreciated; meaning he virtually drove it for free :)
@ariotofmyown cheers.

I was able to find the old pics from the lifter and cam inspection when I had the valve covers done. They are uploading now. Also recently serviced the hvac with a fresh cabin air filter and duct cleaning (a known issue on 211s). This car is ready to go.

I currently own this same car (black on black 2007 - 3rd row) and it is absolutely fantastic. The fit and finish of the interior is solid after 16+ years. It has Clark Kent mannerisms around town, but get it out on the freeway and it becomes an intimidating monster. Power seems very linear, and the speedometer seems to validate it. Maintenance wise, I find this car to be relatively easy to work on. The engine bay is laid out like a 1970s muscle car, so easy to get to key components. I have completed a host of tasks in the past year and nothing has been too difficult yet. While everyone wants to talk about head bolts in nearly every single auction/forum on the planet, the real weak spots with these motors are the cam adjusters. My car had the passenger side intake adjuster start to rattle at about 126K, so I rebuilt them all with an upgrade kit from 63 Motorsports. It was a big cost savings over replacing the entire unit, and they should stay solid for a very long time. This car, in my opinion, is right in the sweet spot: the right mileage, super clean, and well cared for by the owner. I paid top dollar for mine in 2022, and it is still worth every penny. Bid with confidence, you will be happy with it.
Badass wagon. Color only adding to its subtlety to (maybe) fly under the radar :) I've owned roughly a dozen M156-powered AMG's including my CLK63 AMG Black Series "racecar" and ML63 AMG "tow truck". Both "high" miles. I've never had a major issue, or met anyone who has.
@NEluxury Just as every used car has a puffy shirt salesperson, right? I predict this will end RNM. Call me psychic. GLWA!
@KingKitty every listing gets a troll. I'm proud to have you as mine ❤️
@NEluxury Wow! Judging me sorely on what I’ve bid on? You just trashed the better part of the people following this auction. As to what I can afford, well, that’s hardly for you judge and really smacks of classism. I assure you I could easily cut a check on the spot for this or any other car on the site should I choose to. Does this mean that to be a commenter on an auction I need to have bid on comparable vehicles to have any credibility? Nice of you to be so judgmental, thanks! I guess that MBM should install filters to limit participants to those who are deemed “worthy”? Or does my 30+ years of experience as both an owner and mechanic with Mercedes and other high line vehicles not qualify me to comment? And to expand on the subject, it’s a far more expensive job for those without the ability to do it, like well into the thousands of dollars. I know and have direct experience with the issue, but apparently that doesn’t make my comments credible in your world. So sad.

@KingKitty I'm not discounting and I agree it's inexpensive to replace the bolts. Its mentioned multiple times in the post. FCPEURO has the kit for under 400 dollars I believe. I just only see you bidding on sub 10k dollar cars on here so I figured you were being a troll because you can't afford this one. My mistake, thank you for your input.
@NEluxury I have, as have two other owners I know. That, and a trusted MB mechanic who replaces them on any and all M156 engines that come into their shop as a precaution. Yes, the subset of engines that have or will fail is small, but considering the cost to remediate, it’s cheap insurance to do up front. For the DIY’er it’s easy enough to replace them one at a time in situ. By discounting this known issue you’re just bringing more attention to it. Let the buyer do their due diligence and roll the dice!

This is my old wagon. Out of the 7 or 8 S211 AMG Wagons I've owned over the years this was perhaps the cleanest one. I regret having sold it and can attest to the quality of this example. The low-profile crossbars and OEM roofbox make it really stand out. Don't hesitate to bid on this one if you're looking for an S211 AMG. You won't be disappointed!
Welcome to the auction for this 2008 e63 AMG wagon. I am the current steward of this powerhouse classic having purchased it from a founder of this site 2+ years ago. In my ownership all needed maintenance has been done by a premium independent mercedes shop. Invoices are included in the pictures. Running condition is excellent. Start up is strong and fast with no ticking or other noises. I did have the lifters and cams inspected during the valve cover replacement and they were found to be in proper condition with nearly zero wear. I have not done the headbolt job. I mentioned it to the shop but it was their experienced opinion that it was unnecessary. Brakes are all 50%+ as noted in pics and stop with smooth power, no shimmies. Tires have approx 7k miles. Alignment is up to date. The exterior of this car is excellent. Prior to my ownership this car had a full paint correction and ceramic coating and it shows. No swirl marks at all. A few small chips on the lower front bumper as expected. Otherwise this is 👌. Wheels are the original wheels. They do have some pitting near the center caps. See pics. This is not from any winter driving. They came to me in this condition. Freshly rotated and balanced. The interior is excellent. Leather is supple with only a little wear on the driver's bolster. Suede headliner is as it should be with no loose spots. Sunroof works without any leaks or squeaks. AC is cold. Has heated and cooled seats. 3rd row seating. I recently cracked the handle for the rear seat latch. Ill add a pic of it. The seat still latches and unlatches. This car is in Maine but don't let that stop you from bidding. It's never been in winter weather and it's stored in a heated garage with a cover (included). Also included is the rooftop carrier and whispbar system pictured in the previous listing for this car. I'm willing to work with the buyer and bring this car to southern New England for transport if needed. Please work this out with me ahead of time. Please ask any questions. I am a private buyer/collector. I am here to accurately represent this vehicle. The driving experience is 🎯 but with 4 kids we have moved on to vans and suvs. (My kids have only been in this car once, to attend a wedding). Good luck with the bidding!
@wellsn re: the bugs. I had a recent road trip thru the white mountains of New Hampshire at night and the bugs were thick. My mistake for not cleaning them off. Re: undercarriage. There are a few pics from ground level included in the photo gallery that I think we'll represent the condition. It's California/Arizona car most of its life. It's been in Maine for 2 years and only driven in proper weather. It's stored in a heated garage with a cover on it for the winters.
Well kept it seems. Not to nit pick but a wagon guy here from another brand so curious... I've not seen in a 100k mi car of this quality so many bugs trapped in the radiator. Is this a typical MB thing or a highway thing or locality thing or simply not well detailed? I'm genuinely curious. Any insights appreciated. Last request since we are dealing with a NE coastal vehicle. Is there any rust underneath and can we get pics of undercarriage? Thanks & GLWS!
