This 1993 Mercedes-Benz 300CE was previously auctioned through The MB Market in May 2021 and is now being relisted by the original seller. This example was sold new through Mercedes-Benz of Lynnwood, Washington in December 1992. It remained with the original owner in Seattle, Washington until August 2003 where it was sold to subsequent longterm owners. Finished in Black (040) over Black Leather (261), the car is powered by a 3.2-liter M104 inline-six paired to a four-speed automatic transmission. Recent service includes a complete fluid flush and comprehensive service records accompany the car including a wire harness replacement by the dealer in 2003. This C124 currently shows 145,731 miles on the odometer and is offered by the selling dealer with a folder of complete maintenance records dating back to 2003, manufacturer's literature, two original keys, and a clean Georgia title.
Finished in Black (040) with Grey lower body cladding, this coupe has been kept nicely and no signs of clear coat damage or rust are present. A very minor indention is noted on the driverside front fender just above the lower cladding in addition to a small rock chip on the left side of the windshield. Features include a power sliding sunroof with tilt function, headlight washers with automatic wipers, and a pillarless window design.
This example retains the original 8-hole chrome wheels measuring 15x7 on all four corners. The wheels are wrapped in Michelin Primacy MXV4 tires measuring 215/60. The wheels show some light curb rash and some peeling chrome inside the spokes near the barrels.
The cabin is trimmed in Black Leather (261) across the seats, door cards, armrest, and dashboard. Additional leather-trimmed features include the steering wheel and shift knob. All leather surfaces are reported to be original and nicely kept with no tears or scuffs. The Black dashboard is free from cracks along with the door cards and rear headrests. The retractable seat belt arms for the front seats are reportedly inoperable althought the seatbelts themselves do function with no issues. The center console, dash, and doors are trimmed in original Burl Walnut wood and shows some light cracking under the shifter surround. Interior features include the original Becker head unit (with security code), automatic climate control, power mirrors, and power folding rear headrests. The original Mercedes-Benz carpet floor mats are included.
The analog odometer shows 145,731 original miles. Instrumentation includes a 160-mph speedometer, a 7k-rpm tachometer with a 6,400-rpm redline, and an analog odometer with trip function. Additional gauges include fuel level, coolant temperature, and oil pressure along with an analog clock and digital external temperature gauge.
The 3.2-liter M104 inline-six was rated at 217 horsepower and 229 lb-ft of torque when new. While a recent service includes a complete fluid flush, comprehensive service records are included with the car by way of paper files and floppy disks. The included records show all major and minor services between 2003 and 2019 including a 2003 receipt showing replacement of the engine wiring harness by Mercedes-Benz of San Francisco.
The Carfax reports ownership in Washington state until 2012 when it relocated to Georgia through longterm owners. An accident is reported in 2006 along with 13 service history records. This Black on Black C124 coupe is offered with a folder of complete maintenance records dating back to 2003, manufacturer's literature, two original keys, and a clean Georgia title.

I bought the car with seat belts presenters are not functional. I don't know the issue .
Regards the seat belt “presenters” that are reported as non op, what’s the issue? I see the mechanical mechanisms are available at about $250 each but would be interested if it’s a wiring, switch, or other problem. Under current ownership have they ever functioned? Thank you

Thanks for all the information about the car. The car still in excellent condition
These 124 coupes have grown on me over the years. Classic lines of a 126 with a rich interior devoid of technology that would today look ridiculously outdated (1st generation nav etc). Dependable/peppy engine and great color combo. Someone is going to end up with a great daily or wonderful addition to his/her collection. Good Luck!
It's funny seeing my dad's old car on here that we sold back in 2017. Story goes, I found this car for him on Auto Trader in 2013. We're Mercedes fanatics like everyone else here and were trying to find a W124 500E. But my dad was missing his 560SECs from years ago, so we added in a C124 to the short list of cars since it was basically a baby C126. We found this one and flew from Atlanta to Seattle to buy it. It had I think 64K miles on it, owned by a local architect and was beautifully garaged kept parked next to a red R230 Sport. The accident damage that is noted on the CarFax was, as Owner #3 told us, caused from a scratch in a parking lot -- it wasn't an accident. Since he was meticulous, he brought it to a Mercedes dealership and had them fix it with an open wallet. The repair is nearly impossible to spot. Happy with that, we bought it, shipped it back, and enjoyed it. German Auto Sales and Service did the work on the car as did us since we know these inside and out since it seems half our family are classic Mercedes technicians. All of our services should still be with the car. The car was garage kept until my dad sold it to my sister (owner 5 on the CarFax) since the A/C compressor went out on her W210 E320. I remember telling her to keep up with maintenance and wash it often. It only lived outside during those 10 months of ownership when she traded it in on a 2017 Jetta, a car that suited her lifestyle more than a classic Mercedes since I relentlessly hounded her to take care of it. Hope that helps fill in some history on the car. We loved it and took very good care of it. It's funny seeing it here on The MB Market. I'm almost tempted to bid on it since I know it's a good one...
