This 1994 Mercedes-Benz E60 AMG began life as an E500 destined for the Japanese market. It was immediately taken in by AMG Japan and converted to an E60 AMG with a 6.0-liter M119 V8 paired to a 4-speed automatic transmission. Finished in Brilliant Silver Metallic (744) over Black Leather (271), additional features include O.Z. AMG Aero III wheels, extended Burl veneer, heated seats, a Nakamichi 100td head unit, two Sony 10-disc CD changers, and a period KKM speaker system. The seller notes records since new have been kept with the car showing service and maintenance history. In 2021 the seller gave the E60 a mechanical overhaul totaling nearly £17k. This E60 AMG currently shows 207k kilometers (~128k miles) and is offered in Brighton, U.K. with records, two keys, literature, and a clean title.
The body is finished in Brilliant Silver Metallic (744) and shows the original E500 flared fenders, paint-matched bumpers and lower cladding. Exterior features include clear corner lights, amber fender markers, headlamp washers and wipers, lower fog lamps, and a single-piece AMG badge on the deck lid. Above the fender markers is a KKM decal. The paint is noted to be original and the body rust-free. Detailed photos of the body are included in the gallery.
O.Z. AMG Aero III wheels measure 17x8.5 up front and 17x9 in the rear. Tires mounted are Bridgestone Potenzas measuring 235/45 and 265/40 respectively and show 2015 and 2016 date codes. The wheels show minor imperfections in the lip finish and no lug cracks are noted or visible.
The interior is trimmed in Black Leather (271) with matching door panels, armrest, dashboard, and center console. Extended Burl veneer is shown on the center console, dashboard, doors, and the AMG steering wheel. The ashtray displays the AMG insignia in the veneer. The heated front seats are electrically adjustable with memory settings, and the rear seats are divided by a Burl veneer storage space. Additionally, the cabin features a period KKM speaker system controlled by a Nakamichi 100td head unit. The components are tucked under carpet throughout the car and behind an upholstered cover in the trunk. Two Sony 10-disc CD changers are mounted in the trunk. The exterior bolster on the driver seat shows some creasing and wear.
The leather and wood-trimmed AMG steering wheel frames a 300-km/h AMG-branded speedometer, a tachometer, and a combination gauge for coolant temperature and fuel level. The odometer indicates 207k kilometers (~128k miles).
The AMG 6.0-liter M119 V8 sends power to the rear wheels through a four-speed automatic transmission. Power is estimated to be 376 horsepower and 428 lb-ft of torque. The original AMG exhaust is shown on the car with stamped square tips. The seller notes records since new have been kept with the car showing service and maintenance history. In 2021 the seller gave the E60 a mechanical overhaul totaling nearly £17,000.
This E60 AMG currently shows 207k kilometers (~128k miles) and is offered in Brighton, U.K. with records, two keys, literature, and a clean title.
Heralded as “Peak Mercedes”, “Exclusive Super Sedan”, and “Perfection Improved” the E60 AMG has grown into its own over the last decade and become widely recognized as one of the ultimate sleepers of the 90’s and in true AMG form completely above and beyond the necessary. Starting with the muscular 5.0L M119, AMG punched an extra liter of displacement out of the engine with more aggressive stroke and bore, hotter camshafts, different pistons, and an AMG intake and exhaust for less-constrained breathing. There is one other detail we must draw attention to for this super sleeper- the ultra custom KKM stereo. From the Nakamichi head unit to the full speaker conversion and down to the dueling Sony CD Changers this E60 should be an obvious choice for audiophile petrolheads. There’s a lot to like about this E60 AMG and knowing the collection it’s coming from, we’re confident the next owner will be as pleased as we are to offer this rare gem.

@Nopsen Yes it is. Peter
Is this E60 AMG still available for sale?
@Schultzy good question. I really thought 118 would do it.
@Jetson thanks )
@muradmus it is kept secret for next auction
@muradmus you may not 😉
@PeterQvortrup What was the reserve, if I may ask?
Ended means no sale. Reserve not met.
There must have been and the high bid did not meet it I believe.
Does this mean there was a reserve?
Not Sold
Congrats to the winner. You are lucky my mother called right after my previous bid )
@Jim_Rosenthal Seems no, wonder what it takes.
I spoke too soon.. does this mean not sold?
Formidable price for a formidable car.... I suspect the minute you floor the throttle pedal, you'll instantly forget what it cost.

@Iampwk Hi, Vat and duty was paid on import, but no further action was taken to register the car as my intention was to ship it to Denmark or Sweden and use it there, if it does not sell that is what will happen. It has been in storage since it had the engine work done, it passed an MOT without comment after the work was completed. Peter
Hi Peter, Just to confirm this is UK VAT Paid and registered with the HMRC and DVLA? Has it been assigned a UK registration number? Thanks.
Service records have been added to the gallery and a correction has been made to the amount noted to have been spent.

@PeterQvortrup yes I am in UK , can you ring /text to arrange 07884073013
@sunriseMB Sadly no, what i can say is that the car was inspected by J. A. Haynes when they did the work on the engine and they passed the suspension as good as new. There is no paperwork from AMG Japan, in fact in the 15 or so years I have built my collection, having bought 16 - 17 AMG Japan cars I have not once seen paperwork from AMG Japan. Peter
Hi, sure, the car is in a garage near Brighton. Problem is that I am currently convalescing from a hip replacement, so i would have to arrange a viewing with someone with access to the garage. I presume you are in the UK? Peter
Hi Is it possible to arrange viewing before auction end?

hello, Can you provide a pictures of front and rear Struts AMG suspension, also if you have a papers from AMG Japan of 6.0 conversion thank you

The twinning 10 disc Cd changers are designed to accept a separate dvd (navigation)cable input so thus a 2nd cd changer just plugs inn. That Nakamichi Head unit is Very Special though. To badd it didn't have all optional Nakamichi units ie amps, digital media harddrive, equalizer etc.. those back when new were over 25,000$ ... head unit alone i have seen go for 5-8k Canadian..... if its the one im thinking. Beautiful E60 ...
$40,000 bid placed by @Sali
How does it work with the two CD changers? That is a new one for me. Fantastic car, even hotter than a 500E, which isn't exactly tepid itself.
Can it be registered in California?
