This 1997 Mercedes-Benz E60 AMG is a Japanese-market sedan that was imported to Canada by the selling dealer in 2023. The car began life as an E50 AMG from the factory, and it was further modified by AMG with a 6.0-liter M119 V8, widebody fenders, and E60 trim. Finished in Brilliant Silver Metallic (744) over Exclusive Black & Gray Leather (588), additional features include a factory AMG body kit, multi-piece 19″ AMG alloy wheels, xenon headlights, facelift-style side mirror and taillights, heated front and rear seats, AMG door sills, wood veneer interior trim, and a Pioneer CD stereo. This W210 E60 AMG has 99k kilometers (~62k miles) and is now offered in Canada with a CarVX report and an Ontario registration.
The body is finished in Brilliant Silver Metallic (744) and features AMG widebody flared fenders on all four corners as part of the E60 conversion. Post-facelift AMG taillights have been added along with electrically folding facelift side mirrors with integrated turn signals. Additional exterior details include xenon headlights with washers, a full AMG body kit including bumper covers and side skirts, Avantgarde front fender badging, tinted rear windows, and AMG-stamped twin exhaust outlets. The seller notes chipping clear coat on the front bumper cover and left mirror cap, along with overspray on the rear window seal. Extensive photos of the exterior and any imperfections are provided in the gallery.
The factory wheels have been replaced with two-piece 19″ AMG wheels which are mounted with 235/35 front and 275/30 rear Bridgestone Potenza S001 tires. Wheel spacers have been installed to help fill out the flared fenders. The car features a factory sport suspension and Bilstein dampers at all four corners. The car is equipped with the Electronic Stability Program (ESP), Automatic Slip Control (ASR), and four-wheel disc brakes.
The interior is trimmed in Exclusive Black & Gray Leather (588) with matching door panels and steering wheel. The heated front seats are electrically adjustable with memory settings, and the rear seats are also heated. Burl wood trim accents the dashboard, center console, and door panels with extended AMG wood found on the doors and shift knob. Additional features include AMG-branded floor mats, an AMG-branded center console trim panel, cruise control, dual-zone automatic climate control, AMG door sills, and a Pioneer CD stereo. The seller notes some cracks and fading on the interior wood trim, and the wood trim pieces on the right-front and left-rear doors are missing.
The leather-trimmed AMG steering wheel frames a 300-km/h AMG-branded speedometer, a tachometer, and a combination gauge for coolant temperature and fuel level. The digital odometer indicates 99k kilometers (~62k miles).
The AMG 6.0-liter M119 V8 sends power to the rear wheels through a five-speed automatic transmission. Power is estimated to be 376 horsepower and 428 lb-ft of torque. Photos of M119 6.0 engine stampings are presented in the gallery. Aftermarket center exhaust resonators have been installed and additional photos of the underside are provided in the gallery.
No Carfax report is available for this vehicle as no entries have been generated since importation to Canada in 2023. The vehicle is being sold on its Ontario registration, which serves as the ownership document in Ontario, Canada.

Totally unethical and uncool. I don't feel any sympathy for these individuals who back out of their commitments. Things happen, yes, but this car was already on another auction site, it did not sell, the highest bidder could not buy it after the auction, so the owner comes here searching for more money. It's his right, but that what a reserve is for. Owner probably did not like the high bid amount with 24 hours to go and cancelled the listing. Unfortunate because this was a very appealing one, but maybe our luck because some aspects were unclear (lack of documented maintenance, number of previous owners, some seeping under the engine which was not explained...). Moving on...
@SmartenUp Sounds like MBM specifically was told the seller sold it, just going by context clues. Either way, anyone who frequents any of the auction sites knows that's a no-go.
I’ve seen may cars be removed from Auctions , it’s not being untrustworthy. Things change. Maybe buddy wanted to keep the car instead.
@VIGIL Agreed! Untrustworthy sellers not welcome!
Kudos @thembmarket for the appropriate response. Don't want to do business with people like that and certainly don't need them here.
The seller of this vehicle has violated our Terms of Use by selling the vehicle during the auction process. As a result we have withdrawn the auction and banned the seller from The MB Market. Community standards are important to us and our users. We want to thank our users and audience for bidding and showing interest in this E60 AMG.
Sad to see this isn't going to be a sale, I was anticipating an entertaining ending. Obviously these don't hit the market often.
Guess that means I won't be bidding....I was excited about this one tomorrow.
Car is no longer for sale!

this bid to $30k a few months ago on Bring a Hearst a Trailer. Looks like the same photos...
@Dunlopilo No, the lines are perfect.

Also, I see a gap between the bumper and the body of the car. Is it an optical illusion?

@Dunlopilo The diff looks to have some sweat, probably needs the diff cover to be removed and resealed. I believe the oil stain is from that. we didn't touch anything and left it all as it came.
Pictures 248, 249 and 252... What is that stain? Where does the leak come from?
