This 1999 Mercedes-Benz E55 AMG was originally sold at John Sisson Motors of Washington, PA in June 1999 for $72,290 according to the original window sticker and is one of only 1,104 pre-facelift E55 models offered for sale in the US. It reportedly remained with the original owner until being acquired by the seller via Dean Laumbach Consulting in a 2020 online auction. This AMG sedan is powered by a 5.4-liter M113 V8 paired with a five-speed automatic transmission and now has just over 84k miles from new. It is finished in Obsidian Black (197) over Black (581) Exclusive leather, and features include AMG styling elements, xenon headlights, automatic climate control, an electric rear rollerblind, and power-adjustable and heated front seats. Maintenance completed in 2020 is said to have included an oil change, brake fluid and coolant flushes, and replacement of the tires, rear brake pads and filters. Recent maintenance under current ownership includes a full, multi-stage paint correction and ceramic coating, new washer fluid reservoir, new MAF sensor, new A/C compressor, new fuel pump, new windshield cowl, new shift linkage bushings, new airbag control module, an A/C recharge and evacuation and an oil/fluid service. This E55 AMG is offered in Connecticut with the original window sticker, a stamped service booklet, factory literature, two keys, a valet key, OEM mobile phone, a clean Carfax report, and a clean transferrable CT registration.

The body is finished in Obsidian Black (197) and is equipped with an AMG-specific body kit including sculpted front and rear bumpers along with side skirt extensions. Additional features include xenon headlights with integrated washers, front fog lights, and a glass sunroof. The Carfax report is free of accidents or other damage, and photos of paint meter readings from various areas of the body are included in the gallery below. The car received a full paint correction and ceramic coating in 2021 and shows in excellent condition.

Factory 18″ five-spoke AMG Monoblock wheels wear Kumho Ecsta PS31 tires measuring 245/40 up front and 275/35 out back, which were installed in 2020. Recent service also included a brake fluid flush and replacement of the rear brake pads.

The interior features Black Exclusive leather (581) upholstery on the seating surfaces and door panels, along with a matching dashboard and carpeting. Black birdseye maple wood trim panels are found on the center console, dashboard, and doors. Amenities include power-adjustable and heated front seats, dual automatic climate control, a rear sunshade, a Bose sound system with a CD changer, and a cellular phone integrated into the center armrest.

The leather-wrapped steering wheel frames an AMG-branded 160-mph speedometer, tachometer, and auxiliary gauges and readouts. Just over 84k miles are shown on the digital odometer where all pixels are functioning as new.

The naturally-aspirated 5.4-liter M113 V8 produced 349 horsepower and 391 lb-ft of torque when new, which is sent to the rear wheels through a five-speed automatic transmission. Work in 2020 is said to have included a coolant flush, an oil change, and replacement of the air, cabin, fuel filters and front lower ball joints. Recent service includes a new washer fluid reservoir, new MAF sensor, new A/C compressor, new fuel pump, new windshield cowl, new shift linkage bushings, new airbag control module, an A/C recharge and evacuation and an oil/fluid service.

The May 2022 Carfax report shows no accidents or other damage and displays history in Florida and Pennsylvania from a single registered owner, and registration in CT with the current owner. This vehicle is being sold with a transferrable CT registration as CT does not issue titles for vehicles of this age but the seller will include the previous Florida title document from the prior owner as well. A new title may be obtained in any state that issues titles for vehicles of this age.

The gift that keeps on giving: the W210 E55 AMG. These W210 AMG’s are continuing to trend upwards both in popularity and value. The 1999 models are certainly rarer than the 2000-2002 model years and seem to carry just a little more pre-merger leftovers by way of design and styling. If you've spent any time hunting for a W210 E55, you probably have realized that clean examples are very few and far between. As a Florida car until 2020, this E55 has no rust issues and even the underbody remains free from any visible corrosion. The naturally aspirated M113 paired to a 722.6 transmission is arguably the best V8 pairing Mercedes offered by means of reliability, performance, and longevity. There’s also something to be said for the fact that this example remains stock and unmodified with original paint all around. From the recent maintenance to the gorgeous detailed aesthetics of this E55, it’s clear that this example has been loved and treated well.

This is probably not something most would notice, but I wanted to point out picture 187 shows a small trim plug missing from the rear driver's side door.  I had never sat in, let alone slept in, the back seat so I never knew that was missing until I had these pictures taken.  I sourced a new piece and the door is complete now.
